  • Patent number: 6007932
Abstract: A fuel cell assembly including a porous tubular substrate made from a fluid-permeable material, and a plurality of elongated flexible polymer electrolyte fuel cells wound in side by side relation onto the substrate. Each elongated cell includes a central proton exchange membrane, a cathode element mounted on one side of said membrane and an anode element mounted on the other side of said membrane. In a preferred arrangement, the anode element of a first elongated wound fuel cell is in electrical contact with the cathode element of an adjacently wound fuel cell.

  • Patent number: 5195860
Abstract: A pushnut fastener for engagement on a cylindrical stud and particularly suited for conveying to the point of use through automatic feed systems comprises a metal body of relatively thin, uniform thickness having oppositely facing first and second exterior surfaces and a circular radial outer marginal periphery. A central opening extends axially through the body between the oppositely facing exterior surfaces and defines a generally circular inner marginal periphery having resilient finger-like engagement portions for engaging and gripping the exterior of the cylindrical stud. The finger-like engagement portions are inclined to extend laterally of the body outwardly of the first exterior surface a maximum distance of d.

  • Patent number: 5110246
Abstract: A hat-shaped push-on fastener for telescopic application to a male member comprises a single piece structure with an annular flange defining a washer-like base and an inverted cup with the bottom of the cup constituting the top of the hat formation. The side wall of the cup is a cylindrical sleeve perpendicular to the washer-like base and adatped to closely surround the male member to which the fastener is telescopically applied. A pair of relatively rigid and inflexible teeth have tips extending radially inward and axially upward. The teeth are located on diametrically opposite sides of the sleeve and are struck inwardly from the metal of the sleeve.
