Abstract: Method for regenerating a surface of an optical element in a radiation source for electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength in the extreme ultraviolet wavelength range, H (EUV, XUV) in particular with a wavelength in the wavelength range between 10 nm and 15 nm, this radiation source comprising at least a chamber for arranging therein a plasma generating XUV or EUV radiation and the optical element, in particular a collector for bundling XUV or EUV radiation generated by the plasma and causing it to exit the chamber, according to which method a first Si, C or metal compound is arranged in the chamber which reacts in an equilibrium reaction with the material of the surface of the collector to form respectively a second Si, C or metal compound bonded to this surface, and XUV or EUV radiation source adapted for such a method.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the decoding/playback part of received sound data packets in systems for transmission of sound over packet switched networks. According to the invention, the lengths of received signal frames are manipulated by performing time expansion or time compression of one or more signal frames at time varying intervals and with time varying lengths of the expansion or the compression, said intervals and said lengths being determined so as to maintain a continuous flow of signal samples to be played back.

Abstract: A central aspect of the invention relates to a method of enhancing speech, the method comprising the steps of, receiving noisy speech comprising a clean speech component and a non-stationary noise component, providing a speech model, providing a noise model having at least one shape and a gain, dynamically modifying the noise model based on the speech model and the received noisy speech, enhancing the noisy speech at least based on the modified noise model. Hereby is achieved a method of speech enhancement that is able to suppress highly non-stationary noise. Another aspect of the invention relates to a speech enhancement system that may be adapted to be used in a hearing system, such as a hearing aid or a headset.

Abstract: A method of filtering a speech signal is presented. The method involves providing a filter (404) suited for reduction of distortion caused by speech coding, estimating acoustic noise in the speech signal, adapting the filter in response to the estimated acoustic noise to obtain an adapted filter, and applying the adapted filter to the speech signal so as to reduce acoustic noise and distortion caused by speech coding in the speech signal.
