  • Publication number: 20230158249
Abstract: A drug delivery device for delivering a dose of a medicament and a safety assembly for a drug delivery device, wherein the drug delivery device comprises a housing assembly, and a drive mechanism for delivering the dose, in response to activation. The drug delivery device further comprises an activation mechanism comprising a rotatable activation member (310), in response to an axial movement of the activation member, wherein the activation member (310) is adapted to be arranged in: (i) a first angular position, and (ii) a second angular position, wherein activation is allowed. The drug delivery device further comprises a ring member (390) as a part of a safety assembly. The ring member (390) is rotatable and axially splined to the activation member (310).

  • Patent number: 9861755
Abstract: The present invention relates to a torsion spring driven injection device for delivering multiple set doses of a liquid drug from a cartridge by moving a plunger forward inside the cartridge. The torsion spring (134) applies a rotational torque onto a drive member (120) engaging a piston rod (115) which is then driven forward by this rotation. The piston rod driver can be coupled and de-coupled from the torsion spring mechanism. In the de-coupled position, the piston rod driver is freely rotatable and can thus rotate if the piston rod is moved axially. A further torsion arrangement (124) is preferably provided such that a torque is build up between the piston rod driver and the housing whenever the piston rod is moved backwards. This torsion arrangement urges the piston rod driver to rotate in a direction bringing the piston rod forward into abutment with the plunger.

  • Patent number: 9649451
Abstract: The invention relates to injection device, which device comprises an outer housing (1), a syringe body (10) and a needle shield (30). Both the syringe body (10) and the needle shield (30) are telescopically movable mounted to the housing (1) such that the needle shield (30) is movable relatively to the housing (1) between a first position and a second position, and the syringe body (10) is movable in relation to the housing (1) between an extended position and a retracted position.

  • Patent number: 9016472
Abstract: A needle magazine (10, 110) for storing a plurality of pen needle assemblies in combination with a plurality of pen needle units is disclosed. The magazines each comprise a first part (11, 111) and a second part (12, 112), each holding a number of pen needle assemblies. The first part (11, 111) and the second part (12, 112) are hinged together by a hinge mechanism (13, 113) such that the pen needle magazine (10, 110) can be folded to be easily carried by a user. The needle magazine (10, 110) also comprises an irreversible locking mechanism (30, 31, 130) such that the needle magazine (10, 110) can be used as a waste bin when discarding the used pen needle assemblies.
