    Abstract: A marine vessel propulsion assembly includes at least one propeller nozzle unit having a rudder associated with it. The propeller nozzle unit has a shroud laterally surrounding the propeller and the shroud is supported so that it can be pivoted about two different axes each extending transversely of the flow direction. In the desired angular position, the shroud can be locked in position. The two pivot axes of the shroud extend perpendicular to one another. The shroud is connected to a shaft extending in the direction of one of the pivot axes and the shaft can be interlocked with shaft guide means. The shroud and the rudder each include the same angle of pitch of at least two degrees relative to the propeller shaft.

The transfer drum has a rigid main drum body integral with one of the comb-like structures and formed of at most two separable parts including the device for gripping the leading edge of the sheet, and a hollow, substantially cylindrical body partly surrounding the main drum body in circumferential direction thereof.     Abstract: In the casing of a turbo-molecular pump there is a suction port at the suction side, and a discharge port at the discharge side. A stator is arranged in the casing and a rotor is journaled therein in magnetic bearings. The rotor is provided with rotor discs which are axially arranged along the longitudinal axis of the rotor, each of the rotor discs having vanes. The axial thickness and the outer diameter of each of the discs of the rotor are dimensioned so that the moment of inertia of the rotor about its axis of rotation exceeds its moment of inertia about a transverse axis through its center of gravity. Additionally, the vanes of the rotor disc adjacent the suction side of the pump are long and thin relative to the vanes of the other rotor discs of the rotor, and the diameter and thickness of the rotor disc adjacent the suction side of the pump is large relative to the diameter and thickness of the other rotor discs of the rotor.

    Abstract: A pump, particularly a turbo vacuum pump, comprises a housing having an intake and an exhaust spaced from the intake. The respective ends of the housing are provided with bearing bushes which extend in respective opposite directions and support a pump rotor in a manner to permit it to have some axial and radial play. A first magnetic system acts on the rotor and stabilizes the rotor axially in respect to the bearings and a second magnetic system acts on the rotor and stabilizes the rotor radially in respect to the bearings. The second magnetic system includes at least one permanent magnet which is fixed to the casing and faces either soft iron or permanent magnet portions provided on the rotor. An electromotor is mounted within the casing and the coil of the electrodynamic system and the stator of the drive motor are assembled to a subassembly which can be mounted or dismounted from the pump casing in a simple manner without interfering with the rotor or the stator.
