  • Publication number: 20050239680
Abstract: Molded bodies of washing or cleaning agents, the bodies having top and bottom horizontal surfaces defining a height, the top and bottom surfaces being joined by at least two lateral delimiting surfaces, wherein at least one of the lateral delimiting surfaces is not vertical over at least half of the height. The molded bodies are spatially optimized to provide maximum product volume in all automatic dishwasher dosage chamber configurations.

  • Patent number: 6025314
Abstract: A process for improving the soil release properties of dishwashing machine rinse aid compositions used to rinse dishware and remove starch-containing soils therefrom by adding to the compositions a cationic polymer containing monomer units corresponding to formula I: ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is hydrogen or a methyl group,R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and represent hydrogen or a C.sub.1-8 alk(en)yl group, R.sup.8 is a linear, cyclic or branched alkylene group containing 2 to 8 carbon atoms, andX represents a monofunctional anion or the 1/m part of an m-functional anion.

  • Patent number: 5898025
Abstract: A phosphate-free mildly alkaline, dishwashing detergent composition containing:(a) from 20 to 60% by weight of sodium citrate;(b) from 5 to 50% by weight of alkali metal hydrogen carbonate;(c) from 7 to 12% by weight of alkali metal carbonate;(d) from 2 to 20% by weight of a bleaching agent;(e) from 1 to 8% by weight of a bleaching agent activator; and(f) from 0.2 to 4% by weight of an enzyme, all weights being based on theweight of the composition wherein the composition in the form of a 1% by weight aqueous solution has a pH value of from about 8 to less than 10.

  • Patent number: 5350517
Abstract: Described is a method of recycling the sludge which arises during the zinc phosphating of steel surfaces. The sludge is preferably digested with nitric acid, the iron selectively extracted from the digested solution with liquid/liquid extraction and the extract thus obtained reused in the preparation of zinc phosphating solution. The preferred extraction solvent is a solution of the monoester of 2-ethylhexyl alcohol with phosphoric acid in kerosene.

  • Patent number: 5064512
Abstract: Substituted diphenols, phenyl ethers containing two oxygen atoms attached to a benzene nucleus, and naphthols are more practically effective than previously known additives in stabilizing tin (II) salts, in electrolyte solutions useful for coloring anodized aluminum by electrolysis therein, against oxidation to tin(IV) by reaction with ambient oxygen. Preferred additives include 2-tert-butyl-1,4-dihydroxybenzene, methylhydroquinone, trimethylhydroquinone, 4-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid, and p-hydroxyanisole. If p-toluenesulfonic acid or napthalene sulfonic acid are also used in the electrolyte, the throwing power can be greatly improved.
