  • Patent number: 4727858
Abstract: An optical fiber apparatus is disclosed for providing light to optical and other instruments from an auxiliary light source which may include a laser. A disclosed embodiment comprises a retinascope with a light source optically connected to a fiber optic bundle having its individual fibers aligned in the shape of a circle at its input end and in the shape of a rectangle at its output end. Ferrules hold and align the fibers at both ends. The light source may be a pulsed or continuous wave laser producing substantially monochromatic light, or any other suitable poly- or monochromatic light source. The retinascope includes a holder for supporting the output ferrule and the fiber bundle output.

  • Patent number: 4207889
Abstract: An injection system for suspensions and solutions having five cartridges supported on a cartridge support. The cartridges are connected to a coalescing disc with five inlet passages and a single output passage with a feed line connected to the single passage. Suspensions and solutions supplied to the cartridges are selectively injected into a test subject by supplying a saline solution to the cartridge from a syringe pump through a selector which selects the cartridge to which the saline solution is supplied.

  • Patent number: 4095289
Abstract: An air ventilation apparatus for a flight helmet having a member secured to the helmet and having portion spaced from the helmet to form a plenum chamber and exit nozzle. The exit nozzle is positioned to provide an air flow between the face of the user and the helmet visor. An air inlet is provided on the member, secured to the helmet, for supplying air to the plenum chamber. Spacers are provided between the helmet face mask assembly and the helmet to fit the visor assembly to the helmet when the plenum chamber is attached to the helmet.
