  • Patent number: 4458950
Abstract: A device for extending supply lines to winning machines in mining operations comprises a traction chain housing which includes a covered guide for a traction member such as an endless conveyor chain. The traction member rides in the housing and is preferably covered thereby both in respect to its upper and lower reaches. A supply line support bar is secured to the traction members at spaced locations along its length for movement therewith and has a forked support extending outwardly from the housing which has one leg portion defining a support over which the supply lines are laid and another leg portion covering the supply lines. The device may be made with an endless chain conveyor which has upper and lower reaches as well as a chain conveyor having side by side reaches and in each case the housing or a cover for the housing provides for the lateral extension of the forked portion of the supply line support bar.

  • Patent number: 4442979
Abstract: A spreader of granulated and liquid material, for a vehicle comprises, a granulated material vessel having three feed troughs extending substantially along a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. A conveyor with hydraulic motor is positioned in each feed trough and feeds granulated material to three distributor units. A liquid material vessel is also provided which includes liquid supply lines to each of the distributor units. Each liquid supply line has a hydraulic motor-powered pump. Two of the feed troughs which are positioned on either sides of the longitudinal axis of the vessel include granulated material feed lines connected between the respective feed trough and its associated distributor unit so that a distributor plate of each of the associated distributor units is positionable beyond the side contours of the vehicle, and on either side of the vehicle, to increase the potential width of coverage with the spread material.

  • Patent number: 4162723
Abstract: Buffer storage device for transfering textile coils from an irregularly operating coil feeding device to a uniformly advancing coil delivery device having a given coil delivery velocity includes a multiplicity of identical transport elements for at least one textile coil, respectively, the transport elements being shiftable towards one another, a conveyor section extending from the coil feeding device to the coil delivery device, the transport elements being movable on the conveyor section from the coil feeding device to the coil delivery device with varying and at least two-stage travel velocity so that the travel velocity thereof at least immediately before reaching the coil delivery device, in travel direction of the transport elements, corresponds to the given coil delivery velocity and otherwise is greater than the coil delivery velocity.

  • Patent number: 4103836
Abstract: Undoing or removing thread ends of individually transported textile bobbins which are rotated during the transport about their longitudinal axis and which are blasted with compressed air during the transport from at least one blasting nozzle is effected more efficiently by moving the blasting nozzle in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the textile bobbin or the travel direction of the textile bobbin, or both, to obtain controlled intensity and time, particularly to blast certain zones of the textile bobbin longer or more intensively than others.
