Abstract: An apparatus for aseptically filling a pack, held in position by a pack support which is designed for sealing the filled pack, has a filling head housing part encompassing and defining a filling head space for receiving and delivering fluid to be filled in the pack. A vertically displaceable valve, which has a valve opening and closure element which is positioned in the filling head space and which extends to and terminates in a cutting means for cutting a membrane of a pack to be filled, controls delivery and regulates the flow rate of the fluid to be filled in a pack from a fluid inlet and outlet pipe. An inlet valve and an outlet emptying valve connected to a bottom of lateral walls of the filling head space provide a sterilizing medium to the filling head space and remove it and any residual fluid from the filling head space.

Abstract: A filling head apparatus is provided which has an elongated housing which contains valves for regulating flow of a sterilizing medium and for regulating flow of a fluid to be filled in a pack to a filling head space, the filling head space being defined by one end of the housing, and for regulating emptying of sterilizing medium and residual fluid from the filling head space. A first elongated valve which is centrally disposed within the housing and is longitudinally displaceable for regulating the flow of the sterilizing medium to the filling head space. A second elongated valve for regulating the fluid flow to the filling head space circumscribes the centrally disposed first vavle and is capable of coaxial movement with respect to the first valve. An emptying pipe containing the valve for regulating emptying of sterilizing medium and residual fluid from the filling head space is arranged laterally to the housing at the filling head space.

Abstract: A device is provided for regulating the pressure of a liquid flow. The device includes two housing portions having open ends in mating engagement between which a flexible membrane, which hermetically seals the open ends, is maintained. Thus, one of the housing portions defines a first chamber into and through which the liquid to be regulated flows and the other defines a second chamber into which regulating fluid is provided. A two-portion guided elongated pin, movable in a reciprocal manner along its longitudinal axis, extends from an outlet orifice of the first chamber to a linearly aligned second chamber bore. The two portions of the pin converge at the membrane and are coupled by a male-female coupling and grip the membrane. In operation of the device, the pin, which has a hollowed portion abutting the outlet orifice, is moved by reason of pressure effected on active surfaces of the membrane and opens and closes the outlet orifice.
