Abstract: A recoil device is provided for a gun having a barrel with a breech. The device includes a breech nut, a brake assembly, a pneumatic spring and a counter-recoil buffer. The breech nut has first and second adjacent sides. The brake assembly includes a brake cylinder that mounts to the breech nut on the first side. The pneumatic spring mounts to the breech nut on the second side. The counter-recoil buffer attaches to the pneumatic spring. The brake cylinder and the pneumatic spring internally push fluids for recoil absorption and return in response to firing the gun.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically displaying aggregated social media/calendar content in a graphical user interface (GUI) include displaying a date selector configured to retrieve an input from a user, the input including information about a selected date of interest to the user displaying graphical element corresponding respectively to user content containing retrieved first social media/calendar content, other user content containing retrieved second social media/calendar content, and aggregated social media/calendar content based on the first and second modified social media/calendar content. The graphical elements are displayed within respective portions of the GUI on a computer screen.

Abstract: A system for calibrating a plurality of user sensors includes a calibration management system comprising a processor and a node services module and a plurality of calibration nodes disposed at a plurality of geographical locations. The processor is communicably coupled to the plurality of user sensors, the node services module, and the plurality of calibration nodes and operable to: provide calibration node information to a system associated with one of the plurality of user sensors and cause the calibration node to perform at least one calibration action after providing the calibration information, the calibration action may include performing an environmental measurement and/or providing a calibration reference signal to the user sensor. The processor is also operable to provide calibration results information containing results of the calibration action to the system associated with the one of the plurality of user sensors.

Abstract: Systems and method for applying roadway marking materials into a groove(s) in a roadway surface and/or forming a recessed groove(s) in a roadway surface. The systems and methods incorporate a contour sensor that provides real-time information of the marking material and/or groove. Based on the contour information, a marking material applicator can be aligned with a recessed groove in a roadway surface to ensure the marking material is applied within the confines of the groove. Alternatively, such contour information may be acquired during groove formation to ensure depth, tilt and/or bottom surface smoothness of the groove is within predetermined limits.

The GUI elements, or portions thereof, can be selected, resulting in the remaining GUI elements changing how data is presented or changing the dashboard to a detailed view. The GUI dashboard can be updated in real time.

Abstract: An in situ remediation process for a PFAS-contaminated site includes sub-surface injection of slurry containing activated carbon in combination with a substances that promotes formation of an activated carbon emulsion and retention of PFAS by a solid matrix at said site, thereby removing said PFAS from groundwater.

Further, in various embodiments, variable space frame geometry may be employed to match the structural capacity of the space frame with the structural loads on the same, thereby modifying a space frame to comprise one or more empty bays or stretch bays.

Abstract: A child resistant and/or senior friendly dispensing system may include a housing, an insert plate for attaching multiple unitary dose containers and that can slide in and out of the housing and a locking means for locking the insert plate to the housing. The locking means may include a locking clip that can extend or retract to realize locking or releasing of the insert plate. The locking means enables a user to open the insert plate only when squeezing the locking clip inward with sufficient force with one hand and pulling the insert plate with another hand simultaneously. The housing may have one or more locking holes on the side walls and the locking clip may have one or more locking tabs positioned to mate with the locking holes. The system may have a sensor network and a circuitry to monitor the dispensing of unitary dose and output the result.

Abstract: An orthopedic device as in a dorsal splint for treating plantar fasciitis includes a substantially rigid splint member having an overmolded flexible edge and living hinges, or substantially rigid component pieces received in a flexible member, to provide improved and more comfortable fitting to a user and reduced storage requirements. The splint member is shaped and configured to engage the dorsal aspects of a user's lower leg, ankle, and foot. A soft-good strap system is provided to maintain the dorsal splint in position and has suitable padding to treat various foot conditions.

In one embodiment, a method includes: determining a first switch state; determining a second switch state; evaluating the first switch state and the second switch state to determine whether a condition of a mechanical linkage between a range selection device and a transmission has occurred; and selectively generating at least one of a control signal to control an electronic park brake and a notification message based on the determination.
