Publication number: 20210079620Abstract: The present invention provides an improved pipeline burying apparatus that uses specially configured jetting nozzles that intake sea water surrounding the nozzle. The apparatus provides a frame supporting spaced apart left and right inclined pipe sections that arc configured to be placed on opposing sides of the pipeline to be buried. Each inclined pipe section is fitted with a plurality of jetting nozzles that are positioned on one of the inclined pipe sections, in vertically spaced apart positions and in horizontally spaced apart positions. At least some of said jetting nozzles include a nozzle body having an outer surface and a main, central longitudinal fluid flow channel with a central channel axis. A fluid inlet end portion of the nozzle body has an externally threaded portion that enables connection to an internally threaded portion of a selected one of the inclined pipe sections. A discharge end portion of the nozzle body extends outwardly from an inclined pipe and the threaded portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2020Publication date: March 18, 2021Applicant: BISSO MARINE, LLCInventors: Richard Allen Anderson, William A. Patent number: 10377053Abstract: A plurality of bushings are coupled to one another via a series of bolts to provide an interlocking, articulating cutter. The bolts have a cylindrical end and a convex end. The convex ends are seated inside a concave socket coupled to the bushings. The cylindrical ends are coupled to a convex nut seated inside another concave socket coupled to an adjacent bushing. The convex ends of the bolts are configured to articulate inside the seat of the concave sockets. A washer may be placed between the bushings to provide a desired amount of flexibility and/or rigidity. The outer surface of the bushing comprises a cutting structure, such as a milled or clad cutting structure.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2016Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: BISSO MARINE, LLCInventors: William A. Patent number: 7654594Abstract: The present invention provides an improved shackle having particular utility in underwater salvage operations. The present invention discloses a shackle that has a generally U shaped body that is comprised of a bow portion and first and second spaced apart arms. Each arm has an end portion with an opening for receiving a shackle pin. The shackle pin is sized and shaped to simultaneously fit through the shackle pin openings, and end portion of the pin having external pin threads. A nut provides an internally threaded opening for engaging external threads of a shackle pin. The nut is rotatably mounted to a second end portion of the shackle body. The external pin threads of the shackle pin and the internal threads of the nut are engaged when the pin is connected to the nut by rotating the nut. The pin does not rotate relative to the shackle body, due to an elongated groove in the pin that travels on a key portion of the shackle body that is in one of the openings.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2008Date of Patent: February 2, 2010Inventor: William A.
