  • Patent number: 7770204
Abstract: Methods, systems, and data stores generate and manage temporarily assigned identities. A requestor issues a request for a service. The request includes an identity used for authenticating the requestor. The identity is used for generating an identity configuration and for generating a temporarily assigned identity that is updated to a protected identity directory. The request and the temporarily assigned identity are transmitted to the service. The service uses the temporarily assigned identity to access the protected identity directory for purposes of authenticating the request. The service uses the authenticated request to access attributes associated with the temporarily assigned identity.

  • Patent number: 7735122
Abstract: Methods, systems, and data structures map credentials. A master credential is established for a user or an application. The master credential is mapped to one or more service credentials associated with one or more services. When a request for a service is received from a requestor, the request is authenticated using the master credential. If the master credential is authenticated, then an appropriate service credential associated with the appropriate requested service is acquired and sent directly (via proxy) to the service on behalf of the requestor.

  • Publication number: 20100098250
Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for embedding information in digital cinema content, including accepting a scene from a digital cinema content file, selecting a scene object in the scene to be modified with the information, determining a characteristic for the selected scene object and generating a scene build based on the characteristic, wherein the characteristic is representative of the information. The method and apparatus further include time-stamping, compressing and storing the scene build. Further, a method and apparatus are described for embedding forensic information in digital cinema content, accepting a digital cinema content file having therein a plurality of scene builds, accepting a forensic code and selecting a scene build from the digital cinema content file based on the forensic code. The scene build, having forensic information, is thereafter displayed.

  • Publication number: 20100030737
Abstract: Mechanisms for identity enabled data level access control are provided. Data queries from principals are intercepted and access rights are assigned in response to identities associated with the principals. The access rights are enforced by modifying the queries and/or filtering results from the queries. The modified queries and/or filtered results are processed against a data store on behalf of the principals and returned to the principals.

  • Publication number: 20090153501
Abstract: A video system such as a television signal receiver includes a touch screen that may be suitable for larger image screens. According to an exemplary embodiment, the video system includes a screen having first and second sides, wherein a depression of the screen on the first side produces an image detectable on the second side. At least one projector is disposed on the second side of the screen and projects a first video signal onto the screen. At least one camera is disposed on the second side of the screen and detects the image. A processor determines a location of the depression according to the detected image.

  • Publication number: 20090144267
Abstract: Systems and methods for searching for objects located in a virtual world include having a virtual construct such as a bot crawl the virtual world by moving from place to place. Object information is collected about the objects associated with the place and the object information is stored in a searchable database. Users can search the database for objects in the virtual world. The information can be further filtered or classified to aid in searching.

  • Publication number: 20090135906
Abstract: There are provided methods and apparatus for transmitting multiple video streams over a video channel. A video encoder is provided for encoding a plurality of streams corresponding to a plurality of programs. The video encoder includes an encoder (300) for encoding each of the plurality of streams for transmission over a communication channel. The encoder imposes a relative positioning on intra-coded frames among the plurality of programs to meet individual stream delay requirements corresponding to the plurality of streams.

  • Patent number: 7495838
Abstract: A laser system comprising a laser assembly for generating a light beam, and collimation assembly movable axially with respect to the laser assembly and being positioned in the optical path of the light beam. The collimation assembly comprises a collimation lens group comprising a first lens component positioned within a first lens mounting cell, a second lens component positioned within a second lens mounting cell and provided with a central portion for receiving and cooperating with the first cell to thereby adjust the axial spacing between the first and second lens components, means for radially adjusting the position of the second cell with respect to the first cell to thereby radially adjust the optical axis of the second lens component with respect to the optical axis of the first lens component, and means formed in the central and flange portions of the second cell for creating flexure therein.

  • Publication number: 20090039574
Abstract: A spring assembly has a first end member, a second end member spaced from the first end member, and an elastomeric body between the end members. The elastomeric body is configured to be compressed in a main load direction which coincides with a centre axis of the spring assembly. Further the elastomeric body has an internal cavity which is symmetric about the centre axis and extends at least partially between the end members. The elastomeric body also has interleaving elements and stopping element configured to mechanically limit compression of the elastomeric body in the main load direction.
