  • Patent number: 11874420
Abstract: A cross sectional representation of a geological surface is displayed on a display screen. A segment of the cross-sectional representation is edited, and a pseudo log of formation properties based on the edited segment is displayed on the display screen. A determination is made whether formation properties associated with the pseudo log match actual formation properties measured during drilling of a well and a signal is output indicative of the match. A drill operator may use a structural model determined based on the edited geological surface to drill for hydrocarbons in the formation.

  • Patent number: 11825014
Abstract: A processor-implemented method includes receiving, at a first mobile compute device of a user, a service request. Curated service information associated with the service request is retrieved in response to the user input, and displayed via a graphical user interface (GUI) of the first mobile compute device. A user selection of a subset of the curated service information is received via the GUI, and a phone number is received in response to the user populating a phone number field of the GUI. A send icon is displayed via the GUI in response to receiving at least one of the selection or the phone number. In response to a user selecting the send icon, a communication with the subset of service information is sent to a second mobile compute device having the phone number and associated with a service recipient, without including any self-identifying information associated with the user.

  • Publication number: 20230350130
Abstract: A system and method for delivering stable light to a remote location are provided. The method includes splitting a laser beam generated by a laser into a reference beam and a delivery beam. The delivery beam is coupled into an optical fiber for delivery to the remote location. A reflected portion of the delivery beam comes back as a reflected delivery beam from the remote location through the optical fiber. An interference beam is generated by combining the reference beam and the reflected delivery beam. A phase difference between the reference beam and the reflected delivery beam is detected in order to adjust a phase of the laser beam based on the phase difference to reverse a phase shift of the delivery beam induced by noise added to the delivery beam while the delivery beam is transmitted through the optical fiber.

  • Publication number: 20230347074
Abstract: An injection device (10) includes a lower housing (18), a sleeve (32) supported by the lower housing, and a syringe spring (34) received within the sleeve. The spring supports a syringe (12). A needle guard (26) is proximally slidable relative to the lower housing from a first position, concealing the syringe needle (12b), to a second position. A needle guard spring (27) biases the needle guard distally relative to the lower housing. An upper housing (16) is distally slidable relative to the lower housing from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. Movement of the needle guard from the first position to the second position extends the distal tip of the needle distally beyond the needle guard by a first distance. Subsequent distal movement of the upper housing relative to the lower housing from the pre-use position toward the dispensed position advances the distal tip of the needle distally further beyond the needle guard by a second distance.

  • Publication number: 20230336612
Abstract: Systems and methods for quick start-up of playback in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. Media content may be encoded in a plurality of alternative streams and a quick start-up stream. The quick start-up stream may include media content that is encoded at a lower quality that the alternative streams and may be encrypted with a different, less secure encryption process than that of the alternative streams. During a start-up of playback, the playback device streams the media content from a quick start-up stream until a metric, such as a decryption key for the alternative streams is met. The device then streams the media content from the alternative streams in response to the metric being met.

  • Patent number: 11786971
Abstract: A high precision Interface Node is disclosed. The Interface Node includes an integrated structure including one or more complex or sophisticated features and functions. The Interface Node may connect with another component or a Linking Node. The Interface Node is manufactured to achieve high precision functionality while enabling volume production. Current additive manufacturing technologies allow for the printing of high precision features to be manufactured, but generally this is performed at a slower rate. Consequently, in one aspect, the size of the Interface Nodes is reduced in order to overcome at least part of the slower production volume caused by creating the high precision Interface Nodes. The components and Linking Nodes to which the Interface Node is connected may only have basic features and functions. Accordingly, this latter category of components may use a high print rate and thus high production volume.
