  • Publication number: 20230015344
Abstract: An analytics platform for the extraction of structured observations from largely narrative sources using a hybrid approach of user configuration and machine learning is provided. The analytics platform collects and normalizes data from public and private sources and applies extractions to the data to create a world view of objects, traits, and relationships of interest and maintains that world view as data and/or extractions are updated. The platform is further configured to apply queries to the extracted world view for a variety of purposes including scoring objects for prioritized attention, generating notifications when specific conditions are met, providing data sets for exploratory analysis, and triggering the automatic collection of enhancing data from external sources.

  • Patent number: 10015091
Abstract: A method is disclosed for more efficiently and economically transporting data on a network using network access links between the first switch, which is the entry point of the network, and an end-user device, which is either on a fixed link on a customer premises or is a mobile device. The method includes terminating one or more protocol sessions at the first switch and removing corresponding packet headers. The first switch creates a substitute packet, adding a substitute header that identifies the transport path and the communications connection. Removed headers are not delivered to the end-user device which processes received substitute packets into usable streams based on the substitute header.

  • Publication number: 20160264964
Abstract: The present invention relates to compounds, compositions, and methods for the study, diagnosis, and treatment of traits, diseases and conditions that respond to the modulation of gene expression and/or activity, and/or modulate a gene expression pathway. Specifically, the invention relates to double-stranded nucleic acid molecules including small nucleic acid molecules, such as short interfering nucleic acid (siNA) molecules that are capable of mediating or that mediate RNA interference (RNAi) against target gene expression.

  • Patent number: 9420071
Abstract: A processor, to facilitate header compression, includes circuitry configured to receive a first packet-header sent from another processor, the first packet-header having been sent in response to the other processor receiving the first packet-header encapsulated in a frame, and the frame not matching a flow table entry in the other processor.

  • Patent number: 8949467
Abstract: A method of header compression steps, performed by a first processor, of receiving a first packet-header sent from a second processor, the first packet-header having been sent in response to the second processor receiving the first packet-header encapsulated in a frame, and the frame not matching a flow table entry in the second processor. The method also includes sending a first signal to the second processor; sending a first flow table entry to the second processor; sending a second signal to a third processor; and sending a second flow table entry to the third processor. The first signal causes the second processor to generate substitute data in response to subsequently receiving a second packet-header, the substitute data being shorter that the second packet-header, the substitute data corresponding to the first signal.

  • Publication number: 20060290529
Abstract: A wireless data communication system for a down hole environment. The system includes a housing containing a sensor, positioned within a tubular, for collecting information and processing the information, a modulator for modulating the information from the sensor into an analog signal, and a sensor antenna electrically connected to the first modulator for generating a modulated electromagnetic wave. The system further includes a probe housing, concentrically disposed within the tubular, comprising a probe antenna for receiving the modulated electromagnetic wave and generating an output, and a demodulator for demodulating the electromagnetic wave received from the sensor to a digital record. A method of wirelessly communicating between a probe and a remote sensor is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050088180
Abstract: A device and method for obtaining an electromagnetic propagation measurement of a subterranean geologic formation, with the formation being intersected by a borehole. The device comprises a transmitter for transmitting an electromagnetic signal, and a first and second receiver for receiving the transmitted signal. The device further comprises a circuit for injecting a calibration signal into the first receiver and the second receiver, and a processor for processing the uncalibrated receiver signal and the calibration signal to obtain electromagnetic propagation measurement that is free from errors introduced by the receiving elements of the system. The processor may include a receiver data acquisition circuit for correcting data acquisition errors related to the first receiver and the second receiver.
