  • Patent number: 10200245
Abstract: Adjustable data rate data communications may be provided. First, a plurality of remote data rates at which a remote device is configured to operate may be received. Then, a plurality of local data rates at which a local device is configured to operate may be received. A greatest one of the plurality of local data rates may comprise a cable data rate comprising a greatest rate supported by a length of cable connecting the local device and the remote device. Next, an operating data rate may be determined. The operating data rate may comprise a highest one of the plurality of local data rates that has a corresponding equivalent within the plurality of remote data rates. The local device may then be operated at the operating data rate.

  • Publication number: 20180308119
Abstract: Businesses purchase a finite amount of points within a digital marketing and loyalty web platform and can assign any amount of points to be delivered to its customers for any promotion or advertisement, changing them at any time. Customers or members within the platform may either choose to redeem those points back at the business for rewards that can be changed at any time and for any value by the business, or customers may elect to combine their points and redeem them for an item within the online catalog of the platform. This allows the businesses to change at will both the promotions and rewards, value of the points delivered and to be spent by the customer, as well as allowing customers to choose whether they spend their points back at the business and/or combine their points to redeem in the catalog.

  • Publication number: 20180274721
Abstract: An apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a blade configured for extending between adjacent floor panels and having a bottom portion thereof that defines a floor member engaging recess for engaging a bottom side of the floor member and a hook on an end thereof for engaging a vertical side of the floor member. A mount to which the blade is translatable about and engaged with a top surface of the adjacent floor panels when installed on a floor surface is provided. A linear translator is selectively directed to translate the blade relative to the mount such that the distance between a bottom surface of the mount and the floor member engaging recess is varied in order to securely receive the floor member therebetween. A related method is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20180188017
Abstract: The present invention provides multiple improvements to optical-based laser scanning micrometers and providing a small handheld version laser scanning micrometer based on the these improvements. For added accuracy and reduction in unit size, a double sided coated mirror receiver reflects the beam back into the transmitter light source. For added accuracy, a Ronchi rule is repositioned one or more times to calibrate additional lookup table correction values. To compensate for barometric pressure change and temperature, two additional reference edges are added to be combined with the reference edges in the transmitter to generate to null out pressure and temperature at the passline measurement area. To minimize beam errors and for part locating, a third derivative is detected, Two or more parallel scanning beams are generated to null out cosine errors and to measure, taper and spherical parts.

  • Patent number: 10006763
Abstract: A device that helps to properly align and install large pistons in cylinders is disclosed. Large pistons and cylinders are heavy and difficult to handle, and if the piston is not inserted in the cylinder perfectly in line with the length of the cylinder, damage results. The device holds both the piston and cylinder being assembled, and has a number of alignment mechanisms. A laser is also used to set up the device and to ensure that the piston is straight with the center line of the cylinder for proper alignment and insertion.

  • Publication number: 20180159944
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media can obtain a first event stream including one or more events of a first type, where each event of the first type is associated with a timestamp. A second event stream including one or more events of a second type can be obtained, where each event of the second type is associated with a timestamp. The first event stream and the second event stream can be merged to generate information associated with a metric relating to a system, based on the timestamps associated with the one or more events of the first type and the timestamps associated with the one or more events of the second type.
