  • Publication number: 20240095848
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed with respect to using a blockchain for managing the subrogation claim process related to a vehicle collision, in particular, utilizing evidence oracles as part of the subrogation process. An exemplary embodiment includes receiving recorded data from one or more connected devices at a geographic location; analyzing the recorded data, wherein analyzing the recorded data includes determining that an collision has occurred involving one or more vehicles; generating a transaction including the data indicative of the collision based upon the analysis; and transmitting the transaction to at least one other participant in the distributed ledger network.

  • Publication number: 20240095846
Abstract: A shared ledger operated by a group of network participants according to a set of consensus rules manages and resolves subrogation claims between a clamant and a defendant with arbitration. Evidence regarding the value of the subrogation claim is sent to the shared ledger by the parties to the subrogation claim such as sending data to a smart contract deployed on the shared ledger. The parties to the subrogation claim or entities that are not parties to the subrogation claim may broadcast data relating to fault to the blockchain. The data relating to fault may be evaluated by the parties or entities acting on the parties' behalf to determine fault. A fault determination may be broadcast to the blockchain based upon the analysis of the data relating to fault. Once the claim is resolved, arbitrator may release funds on the chain to the prevailing party or may accept confirmation that any payments have been made between the parties off-chain.

  • Patent number: 4409516
Abstract: An incandescent lamp of the tungsten halogen type is disclosed which includes the tipped-off residue of an exhaust tube formed with a high temperature aluminosilicate glass comprising in approximate weight percent 56-63 SiO.sub.2, 13-17 Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 19-24 BaO, 1-4.5 CaO, and 0-3 R.sub.2 O wherein R is an alkali metal ion, along with minor amounts of incidental impurities, residual fluxes and refining agents such that the aggregate BaO and CaO content lies within the approximate range 21-26 weight percent in order to eliminate need for the refractory metal spiral being contained within said exhaust tube in order to keep said exhaust tube open while the lamp lead-in wires are being hermetically sealed in the lamp envelope. The same glass composition can also be employed to form the entire lamp glass envelope along with the exhaust tube portion thereof with comparable results.

  • Patent number: 4395653
Abstract: Selective light absorption coatings are provided for electric lamps which comprise a transparent vitreous frit containing neodymium oxide to selectively absorb radiation in the green and yellow wavelength region of the visible spectrum while transmitting the remaining visible radiation. A preferred vitreous frit is zinc borosilicate glass containing neodymium oxide which can be fired as an enamel coating on the exterior surface of the soda-lime glass envelope customarily employed for incandescent lamps. In a different preferred embodiment, the transparent vitreous frit containing neodymium oxide is admixed with an inorganic particulate filler and said mixture electrostatically deposited on the interior surface of the lamp glass envelope.

  • Patent number: 4253861
Abstract: Copper staining of a borosilicate glass article is described which utilizes a single heating step to produce red coloration in the stained glass. The method utilizes a particular liquid slurry to coat the surface of the glass article being treated which generates copper halide vapors during a single heating step in a controlled atmosphere to produce the desired final red color. Atmosphere control is exercised with non-reducing atmosphere conditions being maintained until the alkali metal ions in the glass surface have been replaced with copper ions and which is followed by conversion to reducing atmosphere conditions to convert the substituted copper ions to the metallic state.
