  • Patent number: 10384803
Abstract: Lighting components for illuminating an aisle portion of a cabin floor of an aircraft, and aircraft and passenger seats for an aircraft including the same are disclosed. Said lighting components are configured to illuminate at least a portion of the aisle, between adjacent passenger seats positioned on either side of the aisle. The lighting components are configured to direct light towards the cabin floor using a specially designed housing and reflector surface that are designed to illuminate objects in the aisle, while minimizing light pollution in the cabin and detection by passengers on board the aircraft. Said lighting components are optionally mounted on one or more passenger seats, and/or may be integrally formed with a passenger seat. Lighting components include a curved reflector surface configured to reflect light from a light source positioned within the housing such that it is directed towards the aisle to create the desired illumination.

  • Publication number: 20180082306
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for generating a response when a user encounters an error while using a servicing system. The method may include determining a user has encountered an error using a servicing system based on a trigger event associated with a system failure, logging the error in association with identifying information of the user, analyzing the error according to one or more pre-configured rules to determine an error level associated with the error, and selecting one or more responses to the error based on the error level, with at least one response being directed to the user in real-time. The method may include determining a medium for transmitting the one or more responses based on a type of device operated by the user when the user encountered the error, and transmitting the one or more responses using at least the determined medium.

  • Publication number: 20180054353
Abstract: In one aspect of the present disclosure, a management controller configured for assisting configuration of a compute node is disclosed. The management controller includes a processor and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor and operable to instruct the processor to assist configuration of the compute node by receiving a request to configure the compute node, obtaining configuration information for the compute node, serving as a proxy emulating a presence of the compute node on a fabric, discontinuing to serve as the proxy after the compute node is configured. In some embodiments, serving as a proxy emulating a presence of the compute node on a fabric may include logging in to the fabric on behalf of the compute node and staying logged in to the fabric while the compute node is being configured with one or more configurable resources.

  • Patent number: 9800469
Abstract: A capability is provided for predicting the performance of a communications network, such as a multi-stage communications network. The predicted performance includes, in one aspect, predicting the amount of bandwidth that a server of the communications network could deliver with a full load on the network. In one aspect, the predictive capability includes determining an aggregate load for each server of the network being analyzed; performing normalization on the loads of the links used by the servers to obtain updated link and/or server bandwidths; and determining for each server, a minimum bandwidth over the links in the server's route.
