Abstract: Systems and methods utilizing a capacitive charging power source for fluid treatment reactors are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a DC power source charges a capacitor circuit configured to store energy. A switching circuit with an input connected to the capacitor circuit has reversing polarity outputs which provide a pulsed discharge of energy at a frequency with an adjustable duty cycle. An inductive load may be connected to the reversing polarity outputs, and a fluid treatment reactor with at least two electrodes may be connected to the inductive load.

Abstract: A system and method for the production and use of hydrogen to obtain sufficient energy to negate or obtain a positive carbon unit balance. Waste is converted into a synthesis gas and heat energy using a plasma converter. The heat energy is transformed into electrical energy. The synthesis gas is split into hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Both the hydrogen and carbon monoxide may be used for the production of electricity. If desired some hydrogen may be used to fuel vehicles.

Abstract: An enclosed, portable, lighted lap-desk is provided to facilitate reading or writing at night while the rays from the light are confined within the enclosure so as not to disturb others. The invention is particularly suited for use by a passenger in a motor vehicle traveling at night to provide light for reading or writing without interfering with the vision of the driver.
