    Abstract: A cutting device for cutting a pipe having a pipe wall. The cutting device includes an elongate carrier having a tool end which is engageable with a power tool and an opposed free end. The device includes a guide wheel located at the free end of the carrier which is loosely mounted thereon for rotation relative thereto, having a bearing surface extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the carrier. The device also includes a cutting element having a peripheral cutting edge which is located adjacent to the guide wheel being positioned intermediate the guide wheel and the tool end. The cutting element is of greater transverse dimension than the guide wheel so that when the bearing surface bears against an internal surface of the pipe the distance between the cutting edge of the cutting element and the bearing surface enables the cutting element to cut through the pipe wall.

The intake port is defined at least in part by an intake ramp. The intake ramp includes a transition surface that forms an exit angle with respect to the surface of less than 105 degrees.

    Abstract: Neural networks, in many cases, include convolution layers that are configured to perform many convolution operations that require multiplication and addition operations. Compared with performing multiplication on integer, fixed-point, or floating-point format values, performing multiplication on logarithmic format values is straightforward and energy efficient as the exponents are simply added. However, performing addition on logarithmic format values is more complex. Conventionally, addition is performed by converting the logarithmic format values to integers, computing the sum, and then converting the sum back into the logarithmic format. Instead, logarithmic format values may be added by decomposing the exponents into separate quotient and remainder components, sorting the quotient components based on the remainder components, summing the sorted quotient components to produce partial sums, and multiplying the partial sums by the remainder components to produce a sum.

    Abstract: The technology described herein is related to a two-phase deployment-initiated wakeup mechanism for a body-mountable electronic device. During a first phase of the two-phase wakeup mechanism, a motion sensor detects an acceleration event indicative of deployment of the device onto the body of the user. During a second phase of the two-phase mechanism, control circuitry can be adapted to be enabled by the acceleration event. Once enabled, the control circuitry can verify that the device has been launched onto the body of a user via a deployment applicator in which the device is retained until deployment. Once verified, the control circuitry can wake up the body-mountable electronic device by transitioning the device from a sleep state to a functional (or operational) state.

    Abstract: A well plate assembly with an interior channel system in the well plate lid provides a more efficient and uniform distribution of fluid into a receptacle positioned below the well plate lid. The channel system in the lid allows air, or other fluid, to pass through with the use of a pump to each of a plurality of channels in the receptacle. Inlet and outlet valves in the lid prevent a gasket positioned between the lid and the receptacle from releasing contact with the receptacle due to high pressure experienced during the injection of fluid into the assembly. Specifically, pressure under a specified tolerance passes through the inlet valves, and if the pressure within the channel system exceeds the limit of the outlet valve, the outlet valve opens and allows air to escape the lid safely without disturbing the fluid flow into the channels below.

The system creates a virtual machine based on the device configuration for the computing device, selects one of a geographically distributed set of proxy servers having an IP geographically address resembling the IP address for the computing device, and executes instructions causing the virtual machine to interact with the remote website using the proxy server to perform the task.
