  • Patent number: 8255425
Abstract: A system and method efficiently conveys event notification using an event routing table. An event is detected and forwarded to an event management system (EMS) that determines if any thresholds have been exceeded. If a threshold has been exceeded, one or more destination names from a routing table are expanded using a destination table and appropriate event notifications are sent.

  • Patent number: 7949893
Abstract: A virtual user interface allows a collection or cluster of data storage devices (nodes of the cluster) to be managed remotely by providing access to cluster management software running on one or more nodes of the cluster. Moreover, the virtual user interface fails-over, such that, if a node hosting an instance of the virtual user interface is unable to continue hosting (e.g., communication becomes unreliable, hardware failure, etc.), the hosting duties are substantially automatically migrated to another node in the cluster. Further, failover rules are substantially automatically organized at an initiation of the cluster, and adjusted in accordance with ongoing events occurring in the cluster to provide an administrator with substantially seamless cluster management capabilities.

  • Publication number: 20090024417
Abstract: This invention relates to electronic medical records and in particular records that are owned, managed, and controlled by a patient or a person with appropriate authorization to act for the patient, and, in particular, to the establishment and management of a PHR (electronic personal health record) for efficient and effective presentation to a user. The invention also relates to creating structured medical information within the PHR and the differential presentation of that information such that immediate determinations of reliability can be made on the quality and accuracy of the medical information. Further, the invention relates to a PHR that is apportioned into active and inactive area such that only active portions are viewed by health-care providers who are granted routine access. This maximizes the information presented to the provider and minimizes the provider's need to review non-relevant and/or especially sensitive information.

  • Publication number: 20070143273
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and methods for retrieval of most relevant information from a given digital data repository. This is done in the first step by verifying two conditions of relevance, presence of query words plus presence of at least one type of relationship between the words in the data record. Additionally a numeric relevance score is computed for each relevant record, such that they can be sorted descendingly according to this relevance metric. The most relevant results will be shown first, while irrelevant records are eliminated. This reduces the volume of the results substantially. The information retrieval system according to this invention includes: a data pre-processing component where multiple steps of processing is performed, a second new data repository where the modified data is stored, a user interface with the capability of real-time translation of user's query, a search engine, and computing hardware in a distributed architecture.
