Abstract: Providing tailored supplemental content to a user in a Network Address Translation (NAT) environment is described. Network traffic from a user to a supplemental content provider is monitored within a first network and a supplemental content identifier (ID) is identified in the monitored traffic and linked to a profile of the device or user of the device. A supplemental content provider on a second network receives a request for supplemental content that includes the supplemental content ID and uses the received supplemental content ID to retrieve the profile linked to the supplemental content ID. Supplemental content may then be generated or retrieved based on the retrieved profile and returned to the user device.

Abstract: A web mapping system and method are described. The web map system receives a content pointer and provides a category result associated with the content pointer. The category result is determined by successively selecting and applying one of a plurality of categorization algorithms that each attempt to provide a category result for a URL based on a plurality of rules. If no category result is determined, the content pointer may be passed to a categorization manager to generate a rule for the content pointer so that subsequent categorization requests for the content pointer will result in a category result.

Abstract: An apparatus for sensing pressure is provided comprising a housing, electronics, a pressure sensor and a secondary seal. The housing comprises an interior bore and a first end, with the interior bore forming an opening at the first end. The electronics may be disposed in the interior bore. The pressure sensor is mounted at the first end of the interior bore. The pressure sensor may be operatively connected to send signals to the electronics in response to external fluid pressure. The pressure sensor may, at least in part, form a primary seal at the first end of the interior bore. The secondary seal may be disposed in the interior bore in between the pressure sensor and the electronics. The secondary seal may be configured to act as a backup seal to the primary seal. The secondary seal provides an added degree of safety from high pressure pipeline contents.

Abstract: A hydraulic fracturing process consisting essentially of drilling a wellbore through at least one reservoir formation, installing in said wellbore at least one conduit, ensuring pressure communication between said wellbore and said reservoir formation, at a higher effective stress formation, selecting the location of the pressure communication between the wellbore and the reservoir formation for control of said hydraulic fracturing process and pumping a hydraulic fracturing treatment comprising a fracturing fluid and a proppant, at a sufficient pressure via said conduit to create at least one fracture in the higher effective stress formation. In addition, processes for increasing conductivity near a wellbore and producing fluids from a lower effective stress permeable formation via a fracture extending from the higher effective stress fracture formation into the lower effective stress permeable formation may include applying several approaches to packing or filling fractures with proppant.

Abstract: Systems and methods have been developed for selecting and recommending events to a consumer of media content based on information known about the consumer, including the consumer's interests, consumption history and preferences. In an embodiment, a system records a history of the media content accessed, purchased, viewed or otherwise consumed by a consumer. The system further includes an event database containing information about upcoming events. When a consumer interacts with the system, such as to access a media content item, the consumer is notified of one or more events based on the consumer's history. In this way consumers are automatically provided with updated event recommendations based on the known interests of the consumer, without the need for the consumer to subscribe to an event recommendation service and maintain the subscription to accurately reflect the consumer's current interests.

Abstract: A system, a method and a computer readable medium for anonymizing collected data associated with one or more data owners is provided. An identifier is received and a hash process is performed using the identifier and a cryptographic salt to produce a hash output. The hash output is associated with an anonymous identifier. The anonymous identifier is then associated with the data. The anonymized data may then be provided to one or more third party processors for processing an analysis.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for providing automatic qualification intervention in a manufacturing process that is performed by a plurality of components. At least one qualification process is associated with each of the components. The qualification processes are stored in a component/qualification matrix in a computerized database management system. The automatic qualification intervention system requires that all qualification processes for a component must be performed in conformity with the qualification processes for the component that have been stored in the component/qualification matrix. The automatic qualification intervention system significantly reduces the delays that are inherent in prior art methods.

Abstract: Methods, media, and a system provide image sharpness management for electronic images. Pixel values for an unmodified image are processed relative to spatial frequency bands for that image. An average pixel value is acquired for each of the spatial frequency bands and used to alter the corresponding pixel value of the image. A resulting modified image exhibits enhancement of sharpness, based on adjustments for each of the spatial frequency bands. In one embodiment, the average pixel value is adjusted based on an expected viewing distance of an observer. In another embodiment, the average pixel value is adjusted based on the ability of a display device to reproduce spatial frequencies in the image.
