  • Publication number: 20040201604
Abstract: A workflow, enterprise, and mail-enabled application server and platform supports distributed computing and. remote execution of web applications. Lotus Domino online services (DOLS) is used by a web site administrator to configure Internet Notes (iNotes) clients to auto download from server, thus providing iNotes clients with web access using HTTP with various browsers, and with local processing and replication. A local run time model comprises a hierarchy of models including object data store model, security model, indexing model, replication model, agent workflow model and mail model. DOLS provides a layered security model that allows flexibility for controlling access to all or part of an application. The highest level of security is managed through a database access control list (ACL). Further refinements within the security model provide access to specific documents, and their views, forms or folders, and include read access lists, write access lists, form access lists and readers and authors fields.

  • Patent number: 6766423
Abstract: A message-based memory system for Digital Signal Processor (DSP) storage expansion has a shared memory device connected to a number of DSPs through a packet communication bus. Each of the DSPs has a packet bus interface interconnected to the packet bus; and a messaging unit connected to the packet bus interface. The memory device interconnected to the packet bus can provide shared memory space for the DSPs to increase the amount of memory available to each DSP. The memory device can also be utilized to provide access to common information such as shared data or shared programing that may need to be run by multiple DSPs. The DSPs and the memory device communicate through the packet bus interface by generating packetized read and write requests.

  • Patent number: 6677532
Abstract: An isolated phase bus duct joint assembly couples together first and second phase bus duct sections where each section has an interior bus conductor surrounded by an outer housing. The joint assembly couples end portions of the interior bus conductor and has first and second conductor coupling portions each extending from the end portion of one of the interior bus conductors. Each coupling portion has a reduced outside dimension relative to the interior bus conductors. The joint assembly has a plurality of movable electrical contact fingers mounted by spring loaded adjustment fasteners around the outside surface of the first conductor coupling portion. Each of the fingers extends beyond the first conductor coupling portion for engagement with the outside surface of the second conductor coupling portion. The spring loaded adjustment fastener has a threaded stem passing through the finger and the first inner conductor coupling portion.

  • Patent number: 6657997
Abstract: The transport of ABCD bits in a digital packet network is facilitated by the inclusion of the ABCD bits into the RTP header of the digital packets. The ABCD bits are first placed in the unused bits of the RTP header. Redundancy of the previous ABCD bits, when applicable, is achieved by restricting the size of fields in the header to reserve space for redundant ABCD bits. The ABCD bits are placed in the reserved portions of restricted header fields.

  • Publication number: 20030178910
Abstract: A rotary transformer has a bus duct assembly that extends through the hollow shaft of a rotary transformer from collector or slip rings positioned above a drive motor for the rotary transformer to end windings of the rotor positioned most remote from the drive motor. By positioning the leads of the bus duct connection with the rotor end windings on the rotor end windings most remote form the drive motor, the shaft strength and integrity is not reduced due to the torque applied by the drive motor. Further, the shaft is formed from two coupled shaft sections and the bus duct assembly comprises two L shaped sections each positioned substantially within a corresponding shaft section. The bus duct sections are interconnected to complete the bus duct assembly making it simpler to remove the first or upper shaft section from the second or lower shaft section during field servicing.

  • Patent number: 5789840
Abstract: A dynamoelectric machine stator winding element which has a foreshortened end protruding from the stator of the machine when compared to prior art winding elements. The protruding end of the winding element has only a single bend in its protruding length, whereas the prior art elements always have two bends. A special connector for the winding elements straddles the bared end of each winding element.
