    Abstract: An engine mount assembly includes a frame member and a cradle member. The frame member defines a frame hole and the cradle member defines a cradle hole. A bolt fixedly mates the frame member to the cradle member. The bolt has a bolt body, which is disposed within the frame hole and the cradle hole, and a bolt flange oriented downward relative to the vehicle. A well is defined by the frame hole or the cradle hole. The well is a volume around the bolt body capable of retaining water in contact with the frame member and or cradle member. A washer, having an interior hole and a perimeter edge, is disposed between the bolt flange and the well. At least one channel is defined in the washer and provides fluid communication between the well and the perimeter edge.

    Abstract: A suspension strut includes a suspension strut bearing and a deflector seal. The suspension strut bearing has an upper portion mounted above a lower portion and a bearing seal mounted therebetween. The upper portion does not rotate with a steerable assembly while the lower portion does, with the upper portion including a lower surface adjacent to a seal opening. The deflector seal is elastomeric and is a toroidal shape, having a radially inner portion and a radially outer portion. The inner portion is secured against the lower portion of the strut bearing, and the outer portion is cantilevered outward from the inner portion to allow for elastic flexing of the outer portion. The outer portion allows for upward elastic flexing into contact with the lower surface of the upper portion of the strut bearing when a fluid or contaminant impinges upon a lower surface of the outer portion.

    Abstract: Rotary earth boring bits according to the present invention and method of assembly thereof allow development of a rotary earth boring bit construction of low cost nature and having exceptionally good wear life. The drill construction promotes the use of optimum bearing materials for rotary support of the cutters of the drill thereby promoting exceptionally good service life. Additionally, the bearing of each cutter assembly may be lubricated so as to further enhance the service life of the drill. Assembly may be accomplished at low cost by taking advantage of dimensional changes of the parts responsive to heating or cooling. The drill cutter may be heated to increase the dimension of the bearing cavity formed therein while the bearing and its support spindle may be cooled to reduce the external dimension of the bearing. Following assembly of the bearing and spindle to the cutter a tight retention fit will develop between the bearing and cutter as these parts approach normal temperature.
