  • Publication number: 20170157106
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to compositions that are useful in the delivery of various materials. In particular, the compositions comprise a suspension wherein an internal phase material is surrounded by an external phase material. The internal phase specifically can be a hydrophilic material, and the external phase specifically can be a hydrophobic material. The materials are combined so that the internal phase is substantially encapsulated by the external phase such that release can be controlled in relation to osmotic pressure differentials. The suspension can be combined with a carrier, and various systems and products can be formed with the suspension and optional carrier, such as oral strips, spray delivery systems, smokeless tobacco products, aerosol delivery devices, cigarettes, and packaging.

  • Patent number: 9665408
Abstract: Certain examples are described relating to resource allocation for one or more digital signal processors in a media gateway. Processing of telecommunication calls are allocated to different digital signal processor cores in the media gateway. When more processing resources are required for a call, a determination is made as to whether any of a set of digital signal processor cores are able to provide these resources. Responsive to a particular digital signal processor core being unable to provide the further processing resources, a reallocation process is initiated. This may involve reserving resources on a further digital processor core, releasing the original set of processing resources and allocating the processing of the call to the further digital processor core.

Abstract: A doped silica-titania (“DST”) glass article that includes a glass article having a glass composition comprising a silica-titania base glass containing titania at 7 to 14 wt. % and a balance of silica, and a dopant selected from the group consisting of (a) F at 0.7 to 1.5 wt. %, (b) B2O3 at 1.5 to 5 wt. %, (c) OH at 1000 to 3000 ppm, and (d) B2O3 at 0.5 to 2.5 wt. % and OH at 100 to 1400 ppm. The glass article has an expansivity slope of less than about 1.3 ppb/K2 at 20° C. For DST glass articles doped with F or B2O3, the OH level can be held to less than 10 ppm, or less than 100 ppm, respectively. In many aspects, the DST glass articles are substantially free of titania in crystalline form.

  • Publication number: 20170142090
Abstract: A computing device creates verification information and a challenge token and sends the verification information and token to a server. A server receives a command and authentication information and uses the verification information to verify the authentication information. The server creates authentication credentials based on the authentication information and the challenge token. The computing device receives the command and the authentication credentials from the server, determines whether the credentials are valid, and then processes the command if the credentials are valid.

  • Patent number: 9646174
Abstract: A secure provisioning manifest used to authenticate and securely communicate with peripherals attached to a computer is provided with techniques to learn about a new peripheral not authorized to be attached to the computer and possibly gain authorization for the peripheral. A secure I/O module, that is separate from an operating system and transaction software executed by a processor of the computer, uses the secure provisioning manifest to authenticate and establish a secure encrypted session for communicating with each peripheral authorized to be attached to the computer. When an unauthorized peripheral is found, identifying information for the peripheral is transmitted to an enterprise provisioning server with a request to authorize the peripheral.

  • Patent number: 9642008
Abstract: A system and method to create and assign a policy for a mobile communications device are disclosed. The policy may be created based on personal data associated with the mobile communications device. For example, known sources of personal data on the mobile communications device may be identified and a policy may be created based on the known personal data. The policy may then be used to identify additional personal data associated with the mobile communications device. Thus, the personal data associated with the mobile communications device may be monitored. If an application attempts to access the monitored personal data, the access will be detected.

  • Patent number: 9602508
Abstract: An action is permitted to be performed on a computing device only after the action has been confirmed by two or more authorized and/or authenticated parties. A security component receives a request from to initiate an action on a computing device. Before the action is allowed to be initiated on the computing device the security component requires the authentication of first and second parties or authorizations from first and second parties, or both the authentications of and authorizations from first and second parties. After receiving the required authorizations and/or successfully performing the required authentications, the security component allows the requested action to be initiated on the computing device.

  • Patent number: 9594504
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for utilizing input data received from an indirect interaction device (e.g., mouse, touchpad, etc.) to launch, engage, and/or close, etc. an object within a user interface. For example, a sensory surface of the indirect interaction device may be divided into two (or more) portions, a first portion utilized to launch, engage, and/or close an object and a second portion utilized to navigate (e.g., a cursor) within the user interface. When an object is launched based upon receipt of a predefined gesture(s), the first portion of the sensory surface may be mapped to the object to provide for interaction with the object via an interaction between a contact (e.g., finger) and the first portion. Also, the surface area of the first portion may be altered (e.g., enlarged) when it is mapped to the object and/or according to operations performed on the object.
