  • Patent number: 11875013
Abstract: A computer system detects a wrist. In accordance with a determination that first criteria that require an inner side of the wrist facing toward a viewpoint are met, the computer system displays a first user interface object including a plurality of representations of different applications at a first position corresponding to a first location on the wrist. While displaying the first user interface object, the computer system detects that the wrist's position or orientation has changed to satisfying second criteria that requires an outer side of the wrist facing toward the viewpoint. In response, the computer system switches from displaying the first user interface object at the first position to displaying a second user interface object including a plurality of controls for controlling functions at a second position corresponding to a location on a back of a hand attached to the wrist.

  • Patent number: 11875016
Abstract: A computer system receives, by a first application, a plurality of shared media items and receives a request to display a view of a media application that includes the media library that includes a first plurality of media items. The computer system displays a collection of media items in the media application that are selected based on first criteria. Displaying the collection of media items includes displaying a second plurality of media items selected from the media library based on the first criteria. In accordance with a determination that a first shared media item from a set of one or media items that have not been added to the media library meets display criteria, the display criteria including the first criteria, displaying the first shared media item in the collection of media items concurrently with the second plurality of media items.

  • Publication number: 20240012601
Abstract: Wearable head-mounted displays, such as virtual reality systems, present immersive experiences and environments to a wearer. However, the head-mounted displays, as well as the immersive environments that they produce, limit the wearer's ability to interact with outside observers. For example, a wearer may not be able to see outside observers, and outside observers may not have any insight to what the wearer is experiencing or where the wearer's attention is directed. Accordingly, a wearable electronic device may include an outward-facing display configured to display information to outside observers, such as images of the wearer's face or images that represent or indicate the state of the wearer and/or the head mounted display.

  • Publication number: 20240004521
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to managing and sharing contextually-relevant media content. In some embodiments, a device receives an input, and in response, displays a suggested collection of media items for sharing with a recipient, wherein the collection is relevant to a message conversation with the recipient. Subsequent to displaying the suggested collection, the device transmits a message to the recipient as part of the message conversation that provides access to the at least a portion of the suggested collection of media items. In some embodiments, a device receives an indication, from an external device, that a first user has shared a first collection of media items with a second user. Subsequent to receiving the indication that the first user has shared the first collection of media items with the second user, the device outputs a prompt to share, with the first user, one or more suggested media items.

  • Publication number: 20240004513
Abstract: At a computer system, in response to detecting a respective user input: if the respective user input meets first criteria requiring the one or both hands of the user maintain a first grip while a first type of movement of the one or both hands is detected, the computer system moves a virtual object in a three-dimensional environment relative to the three-dimensional environment in accordance with the movement of the one or both hands in the three-dimensional environment; and if the respective user input meets second criteria requiring the one or both hands of the user maintain a second grip while a second type of movement of the one or both hands is detected, the computer system replaces the view of the three-dimensional environment corresponding to a first viewpoint with a view of the three-dimensional environment corresponding to a second viewpoint different from the first viewpoint.

  • Patent number: 11861136
Abstract: A computer system displays a view of at least a portion of a simulated three-dimensional space, and a view of a user interface object located within the simulated three-dimensional space. The user interface object is a representation of a computing device that has a non-immersive display environment that provides access to a plurality of different applications. The user interface object includes a first user interface that corresponds to the non-immersive display environment of the computing device and is responsive to touch inputs from a user on the input device, and a pose of the user interface object in the simulated three-dimensional space corresponds to a pose of the input device in a physical space surrounding the input device. In response to a touch input that corresponds to a respective location in the first user interface, an appearance of the first user interface is updated.

  • Publication number: 20230418432
Abstract: An electronic device, while displaying a three-dimensional environment, including one or more virtual objects, detects gaze of a user directed toward a first virtual object in the three-dimensional environment. The gaze meets first criteria and the first virtual object is responsive to at least one gesture input. In response to detecting the gaze that meets the first criteria, in accordance with a determination that a hand is in a predefined ready state for providing gesture inputs, the electronic device displays an indication of one or more interaction options available for the first virtual object in the three-dimensional environment; and in accordance with a determination the hand is not in the predefined ready state for providing gesture inputs, the electronic device forgoes displaying the indication of one or more interaction options available for the first virtual object.

  • Patent number: 11853527
Abstract: While displaying a first view of a three-dimensional environment corresponding to a first viewpoint, a computer system detects user inputs specifying a navigation target in the three-dimensional environment and triggering a navigation operation toward the navigation target. The computer system displays an updated view of the three-dimensional environment corresponding to a second viewpoint closer to the navigation target than the first viewpoint, but the second viewpoint is spaced apart from the navigation target and the second viewpoint is selected in accordance with a predefined characteristic of the navigation target in conjunction with the respective position of the navigation target.

  • Publication number: 20230384860
Abstract: In some examples, a computer system provides non-visual feedback based on a determination that information about a user has been captured. In some examples, a computer system displays different portions of a representation of a user as the user and/or the computer system move relative to one another. In some examples, a computer system displays different three-dimensional content associated with different steps of an enrollment process. In some examples, a computer system displays visual elements at different simulated depths that move with simulated parallax to facilitate alignment of the user and the computer system. In some examples, a computer system prompts a user to make facial expressions and displays a progress bar indicating an amount of progress toward making the facial expressions. In some examples, a computer system adjusts dynamic audio output to indicate an amount of progress toward completing a step of an enrollment process.

  • Publication number: 20230367472
Abstract: A computer system displays a first user interface for configuring a wake user interface. The first user interface displays a first representation of a first version of the wake user interface illustrating a first plurality of editable user interface objects overlaying a first background. While displaying the first user interface, the system detects a first input. In response, when the first input meets first criteria, the system displays a second user interface for editing a first user interface object of the first plurality of editable user interface objects. The first user interface object is selected based on a location of the first input. When the first input meets second criteria, the system updates the first user interface to display a second representation of a second version of the wake user interface having a second plurality of editable user interface objects overlaying a second background.

  • Publication number: 20230367470
Abstract: A computer system displays a plurality of notifications. When the computer system has a first notification mode enabled, the computer system displays a representation of the plurality of notifications in a first configuration in a first region. When the computer system has a second notification mode enabled, the computer system displays the representation in a second configuration in a second region smaller than the first region. The computer system detects a first user input on the representation, and in response, if the first user input meets first criteria and the representation is displayed with the first configuration, the computer system scrolls notifications in the first region in accordance with the first user input. If the first user input meets the first criteria and the representation is displayed with the second configuration, the computer system scrolls the notifications in the in a third region, in accordance with the first user input.

  • Publication number: 20230350539
Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer system modifies the visual appearances of user interface objects based on their spatial arrangement relative to the viewpoint of the user in a three-dimensional environment. In some embodiments, a computer system displays, via a display generation component, a representation of a message in a three-environment at a first distance from a viewpoint of the user, and then changes the distance of the representation of the message to be a second distance from the viewpoint of the user. In some embodiments, a computer system is configured to transition virtual objects from a three-dimensional appearance to a two-dimensional appearance and/or from a two-dimensional appearance to a three-dimensional appearance.
