Abstract: A floor mat system for ventilating moisture having at least one sheet of protective material with a plurality of vents disposed between an upper and lower surface with a cross section and dispersal pattern to promote, simultaneously, the escape of vapor from beneath the mat system and the movement of traffic across the mat without causing a loss of structural integrity. In other embodiments, a ventilated mat system includes a barrier system below an upper surface of the mat to allow the escape of moisture but deter the passage of liquids to an adjacent flooring. Such a barrier system can take the form of a plug, sheet, insert or be integral to a ventilated mat system.

Abstract: A low profile keyboard operating system in which a generally orthogonal matrix of mechanically movable row and column matrix members is disposed over the keyboard to be operated with the intersections of the matrix members adjacent to the keys, the arrangement being such that actuation of only one member at an intersection will not operate a key while operation of both members at an intersection actuates a key.
