The device is used determine a value of a parameter for a golfer called a golf grip hand structure efficiency. A golfer's determined golf grip hand structure efficiency value may be applied to create proper base gripping and swinging structures for the golfer for use in applicable swing improvement and/or clubfitting processes.

Abstract: Disclosed is forming a secure golf club gripping style or structure using only the limbs of one's body. A limb-only base golf swing is thereafter produced using the formed grip, thus eliminating the use of any ill-fitting or inconsistent golf clubs, external influences upon said base golf swing that can cause change and/or inconsistency in said base swing. Further disclosed is using said limb-only base golf swing as the most accurate and consistent reference base golf swing possible toward the further improvement of one's base swing and/or the fitting of golf equipment to one's base golf swing existing at the time of the equipment fitting. Disclosed is producing at least one golf club or other piece of equipment to any equipment specification value determined during the fitting process. The present invention may be applied to other activities besides golf, both athletic and non-athletic in nature.

Abstract: Disclosed is fitting at least one equipment measurement to a performer of a pre-determined activity to improve performance. Said equipment measurement is fitted via an analysis of pre-swing or pre-action movement or position, before the swing or action of the pre-determined activity is determined to begin. Said fitted equipment measurement may be used to fit at least one further equipment measurement as applicable based on a performance analysis of said performer. The fitting of golf equipment in such manner is particularly disclosed, including fitting a golf club measurement of a pre-swing rotation point location (waggle weight point) and using said measurement to further fit a golf club measurement (waggle weight) about said rotation point location based on golfer performance. Disclosed is making golf clubs or other equipment using the at least one fitted equipment measurement.

Abstract: A pre-swing waggle weight rotation point location and a waggle weight specification measurement are disclosed that are provided about a golf club. A process that may be computer implemented and may include a specialized test device establishes the waggle weight point location. A waggle weight scale with a fulcrum set to the waggle weight point may be utilized to determine the waggle weight. Disclosed is fitting the waggle weight specification to at least one golfer and producing golf clubs with the waggle weight measurement. Also disclosed is fitting other golf club specifications via a pre-swing and producing golf clubs with said specifications. Fitting equipment measurements during preparatory periods of performers in activities other than golf and producing equipment utilizing the determined measurements is additionally disclosed.

Also disclosed is a method of fitting equipment based on limb-only swing performance. One step comprises reproducing the limb-only golf swing as accurately as possible when any club is swung. Another step further comprises fitting the golf club to obtain any desired golf ball travel, wherein the swing performance attained in the prior fitting step is maintained as the principle priority in order to achieve the best overall swing performance and equipment fit. Hence, at least one golf club or other piece of equipment may be produced to any equipment specification(s) determined during the fitting process.
