  • Publication number: 20230076909
Abstract: An Enhanced Lift Assist Device is described. The device allows a user to lift and manipulate large, heavy or bulky items by applying force to the item as opposed to traditional control methods such as buttons. This force based system provides ease of movement of the item, making it appear much lighter than it actually is. The Enhanced Lift Assist Device also includes an adjustable base that allows for change of orientation of the device that may include leveling or self-leveling functionality, allowing the device to be operated in non-traditional environments that require leveling or operational adjustments for proper functioning.

  • Publication number: 20230075917
Abstract: Use of ultrasound beams to unlock the perception of mid-air tactile stimuli on hairy skin by using acoustic streaming is described. Such acoustic streaming is directional, more focused than fan and air-puff devices, doesn't require the use of cumbersome attachments, fast since it can be generated at a distance with the speed of sound, and can be used in a complementary fashion with vibrotactile mid-air stimulation deriving from the same hardware. Further proposed is a way to modulate the thermal perception of the mid-air tactile stimuli without the need for a thermal source or wearables. The effect of acoustic streaming and its thermal modulation may be combined for the accurate elicitation of affective touch sensations.

  • Publication number: 20230070112
Abstract: Solid sorbents, and especially zeolites, are attractive candidates for CO2 direct air capture (DAC) and point source capture applications because of their potential for high selectivity, fast kinetics, and low energy CO2 capture cycles. A common issue with solid sorbents, including zeolites, is their low thermal conductivity, which makes them difficult to heat for regeneration without using complex and expensive heat transfer systems. This invention utilizes a modified TVSA process which utilizes the product CO2 gas itself as the heating medium for the adsorbent bed, alone or in conjunction with internal or external heaters. The use of CO2 as a heating medium allows efficient heating of the sorbent bed and enables high purity CO2 product.

  • Publication number: 20230072281
Abstract: The exemplified methods and systems facilitate the use for diagnostics, monitoring, treatment of one or more wavelet-based features or parameters determined from biophysical signals such as cardiac/biopotential signals and/or photoplethysmography signals that are acquired non-invasively. The wavelet-based features or parameters can be used, in one embodiment, within a model or classifier (e.g., a machine-learned classifier) to estimate metrics associated with the physiological state of a subject, including for the presence or non-presence of a disease or abnormal condition. Wavelet-based features or parameters may include measures that are derived from extractable properties or geometric characteristics of a spectral image or data of high-power spectral contents or high-coherence in waveform signals of interest in an acquired biophysical signal.

  • Publication number: 20230075354
Abstract: A protocol that is managed by a coordinating network element or third-party intermediary or peer network elements and utilizes tokens prohibits any subset of a union of the coordinating network element or third-party intermediary, if any, and a proper subset of the processors involved in token generation from substantively accessing underlying data. By one approach, processors utilize uniquely-held secrets. By one approach, an audit capability involves a plurality of processors. By one approach, the protocol enables data transference and/or corroboration. By one approach, transferred data is hosted independently of the coordinating network element. By one approach, the coordinating network element or third-party intermediary or a second requesting network element is at least partially blinded from access to tokens submitted by a first requesting network element. By one approach, a third-party intermediary uses a single- or consortium-sourced database.

  • Publication number: 20230074279
Abstract: Examples of systems and methods for audio transcription are described. Audio data may be obtained from multiple recording devices at or near a scene. Audio data from multiple recording devices may be used to generate a final transcription. For example, when transcribing audio data from one recording device, audio data from another recording device may be used to generate the final transcript. The data from the second recording device may be used when it is determined that the recording devices were in proximity at the time the relevant portions of audio data were recorded and/or when a portion of the audio from the second recording device is verified to correspond with a portion of the audio from the first recording device. In some examples, data from the second recording device may be used when data from the first recording device is determined to be of low quality.

  • Publication number: 20230074054
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for preparing a supported metal alloy catalyst for low temperature engine exhaust oxidation without CO or NO inhibition. The catalyst includes bimetallic PdCu alloy deposited on a SiO2 support using the strong electrostatic adsorption method. The PdCu catalyst may be combined with a traditional PGM-based automotive oxidation catalyst in a series or dual-bed configuration. The first stage of the dual-bed system includes the PdCu catalyst, with the primary role of oxidizing CO at low temperature; the PGM-based catalyst in the second stage then oxidizes NO and hydrocarbons in the absence of any CO-inhibition effects.

The processors are configured to process the input embedding using a predictor to generate second predicted time-series data associated with a second time range. The second time range is subsequent to at least a portion of the first time range. The processors are configured to provide, to a second device, an output based on the second predicted time-series data.
