  • Patent number: 9324184
Abstract: Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for creating a three-dimensional model of an image. Image data, comprise a series of images of a location, such as along a route, can be received. The image data can comprise a first image element location for a first image element, where the first image element location may correspond to a three-dimensional point in the image, such as a location in the image with a depth from a point of observation. The first image element can be segmented into a first façade plane using the first image element location. The first façade plane can be merged with a second façade plane, resulting in a three-dimensional model of the image. The second façade plane can comprise a second image element, where the image data comprises a second image element location for the second image element.

  • Patent number: 9323776
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for a self-describing tape that allow files stored on a tape according to a tape file system to be presented in a similar manner (e.g., to an operating system, to a network file system interface) by different instances of a second type of file system (e.g., a non-tape file system). This can include, for example, allowing a file system of the second type to consistently present files over a network file system interface as being available at the same directory path location, according to the same permissions.

  • Patent number: 9320302
Abstract: A moldable collar stay device for a shirt turnover collar comprising a collar stay body and dual collar stay inserts. The shape and the length of the present device may be adjusted by fasteners which facilitate changes to the angle of the collar stay inserts and the length of the collar stay body. The device also may be shaped to accentuate the shape of a user's face. Each collar stay insert may be placed inside collar stay pockets at opposite corners of the shirt collar while the stay body lies along the exterior bounds shirt collar. The shirt wearer may adjust the device around the periphery of the collar to the desired position. Once positioned, the device will remain concealed with the collar and collar stay pockets while maintaining the ability to alter the collar shape, the collar stay length and the angle of the collar stay inserts.

  • Patent number: 9322174
Abstract: A cantilevered leaf spring is biased against the upper edge of a roofing tile to prevent the tile from sliding upward beneath an overlying upper row of roofing tiles. The leaf spring can be formed as a part of a tile fastener which includes a hooked portion for receiving and holding the lower edge of a roofing tile on a roof. A series of tile fasteners is mounted to a layer of roofing material to facilitate installation of tiles without the need for installation tools. Damaged tiles can be easily replaced without the need for installation or removal tools. With this system, each row of underlying tiles is locked in place by the combined effect of an overlying and overlapping row of tiles and a spring awl on an upper fastener pushing the upper edge of a tile downwardly so that the lower edge of the tile is forced into the mouth of a lower fastener.

  • Publication number: 20160112734
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for isolating an upstream noise source in a cable television network. In one embodiment, a cable television network is communicatively coupled to a plurality of CPEs through a node. The cable television network comprises a CMTS with a CPE polling module and a noise monitor communicatively coupled to the CMTS through the node of the cable television network. The noise monitor is operable in a band of frequencies unused by the CPEs for upstream communications to determine when noise in the band breaches a threshold level, and to indicate when the noise breaches the threshold level to the CPE polling module. The CPE polling module then polls each of the CPEs to retrieve transmit power levels and locations of the CPEs, and identifies the first CPE with the intermittently noisy connection based on the retrieved transmit power level and location of the first CPE.
