  • Patent number: 8402745
Abstract: A pulse jet engine comprising a quarter wave gas resonator (1) which is arranged to cycle at an ultrasonic frequency, wherein the resonator (1) is closed, or substantially closed, to gas flow at the pressure antinode (4) thereof. The shape and dimensions of the quarter wave gas resonator (1) at least partially determine the ultrasonic frequency at which the resonator (1) cycles.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 3, 2005
Date of Patent: March 26, 2013

  • Patent number: 7357052
Abstract: Stabilized or partially stabilized zirconia paste may be screen printed onto hydrophilic plastic film in the form of a mesh. On firing, this becomes a very sharp foil for electric razors with excellent wear and flexibility characteristics. Stabilized or partially stabilized zirconia may also be screen printed onto a wettable plastic film then fired to produce low cost razor blades with an excellent edge. A curved razor blade incorporating an array of holes, each of which has a knife edge periphery, offers greater cutting power and control of the skin surface than a single or double edge.

  • Patent number: 6203150
Abstract: A liquid collection apparatus comprises a liquid collecting device and liquid conduit for transferring liquid from the liquid collection device. Porous liquid absorption device is positioned between the liquid collection device and the liquid conduit. Pump device pumps liquid from the liquid conduit, the pump device generating a pressure in the conduit that is sufficient to draw liquid through the liquid collection device but is insufficient to draw a gas/liquid surface through the liquid absorption device.

  • Patent number: 5650806
Abstract: An ink jet printer or a pen has a nozzle or valve (4) formed by an orifice in an elastic material (1), and the orifice comprising a slit or hole (9) in the elastic material deformable to cause the slit or hole to open or close to eject ink (2) under pressure. The printer preferably has plural, closely spaced nozzles and actuators in the form of a piezoelectric unimorph (10).
