  • Publication number: 20060012985
Abstract: An illuminated storage system is disclosed comprising one or more rigid surfaces defining an enclosed volume; two or more conductors attached to one or more of the rigid surfaces; one or more solid-state flat panel area illumination light sources, each light source having electrical contacts; and means for making contact between a pair of the conductors attached to the rigid surfaces and the electrical contacts of the flat-panel light sources. The use of solid-state flat panel area illumination light sources enables high-quality diffuse light to be provided over a large area by a light source that is quite thin in cross-section, and that can be supplied in a form that is compatible with standard household current.

  • Publication number: 20050195330
Abstract: Display systems, control systems for a display and a method for operating a display are provided in which people are detected a presentation space within which content presented by the display can be observed. Viewing areas are defined for each person with each viewing area comprising a less than all of the presentation space and including an area corresponding to each person. One channel of image content is obtained for presentation to each person and a combination image is presented on the display. The combination image is modulated so that each area of the combination image presented by the display is viewable only in selected areas of the presentation space. The combination image has image content from each channel of image content arranged in areas of said combination image so that, when modulated, the image content from each channel of image content is viewable only in a viewing area defined for the person for whom the content is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5230708
Abstract: This invention relates to improved methods and compositions to enhance stain resistance of carpet fiber. The improved methods relate to a continuous aftertreatment for dyed carpet fabric and to two-step processes, either batch-batch, batch-continuous or continuous-continuous. The improved compositions are used in the processes to enhance stain resistance of carpet or carpet fiber and to overcome various prior drawbacks, such as, yellowing, oxidation and durability to cleaning. The sulfonated aromatic condensates are used to enhance stain resistance, and can be combined with fluorocarbon compounds for soil resistance, thiocyanates, and/or salts having divalent cations, such as magnesium sulfate. Also various dispersing agents, buffering acids and sequestering agents are disclosed.
