  • Temperature sensitive valve

    Abstract: A temperature sensitive valve in which the annular valve seat is made of a thermal sensitive magnetic material having a Curie temperature that is of a preselected value. A vertically movable valve plug is positioned below the valve seat and contains a permanent magnet which normally urges the plug up into the valve seat to close the valve, but which allows the valve to open when the temperature of the valve seat exceeds the Curie temperature.
