    Abstract: A system of visual authentication of digital media. A visual means is provided at the point of purchase for a user to verify that the source of software is genuine. An authentication image is embedded into a portion of a media. The authentication image is not visible to the naked eye. Embodiments of the invention further include a view port integrated in the packaging for the media. The viewing port includes a decoder lens that allows the user to see the hidden authentication image, marking the authenticity of the media.

    Abstract: A disc sleeve is provided for allowing safe storage of discs and/or information articles. The sleeve may include a disc access opening formed on a wall of the sleeve and an information article access opening along an edge of the sleeve. The sleeve also may include a disc retention joint to allow for secure storage of a disc when the sleeve is turned upside down, shaken, or handled during manufacturing. The sleeve may be designed to include a use verification joint to verify whether the disc has been removed from the sleeve.
