  • Publication number: 20130275559
Abstract: Systems, methods, software, and apparatus are described for facilitating the distribution and management of fragmented content. In one embodiment, a packager packages content into fragments and generates a manifest including policies and metadata associated with the content. A downloader obtains the manifest, and uses it to obtain the content from one or more uploaders. For example, a downloader might forward a search request to one or more trackers, which, in turn, are operable to locate one or more uploaders that can meet the request, subject to any relevant policy limitations. The uploaders forward fragments to the downloader, subject to any relevant policy. The downloader assembles the content from the fragments. The operations and interactions of the entities can be subject to policy limitations associated with the fragments, the content as a whole, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20120151442
Abstract: A web application may be developed in an environment which has different components than a target environment, so determining component dependencies and identifying which dependencies are met in a given environment can be helpful when deploying the application. Toward that end, test code makes a request that test file(s) be sent from a protected location in the target environment, such as from a randomly-named folder or from another location that is not directly browsable by a user. Received test file(s) and network protocol headers are parsed, and component dependency metadata such as component names and version numbers are extracted. Based on the extracted metadata, information is determined about the target environment's installed component(s). By comparing component dependency(ies) of the program with the identified installed component(s) of the target environment, compatibility of the target environment can then be reported.

  • Publication number: 20110173559
Abstract: A method and system for publishing an online post from a device that includes obtaining information for a post and receiving user input from a single-interaction interface on the device. The received user input initiates selecting a context descriptor for the post based on the user input; creating the post from the obtained information and selected context descriptor, and sending the post to a post database.

  • Publication number: 20110173130
Abstract: A method and system for informing a user by utilizing time based reviews that include collecting a plurality of user reviews. A user review includes business information, a user opinion that includes at least a rating, and time information that relates to the time of user interaction with the business. The method further includes extracting information from the plurality of user reviews based on the interaction time and presenting the extracted information to a user.

  • Publication number: 20100201482
Abstract: A wireless device access system employs short-range wireless communication to require the proximity of a user device to a structure prior to communicating an unlock request. The access system authenticates the unlock request and the proximity of the user to the structure prior to transmitting an unlock command to the structure. Additionally, the wireless device may require the proximity of a user token prior to operation and/or the access system may include an override within the structure blocking any unlock command.

  • Publication number: 20100201536
Abstract: A wireless device access system employs short-range wireless communication to detect the proximity of a user device to a structure and a wide-area data network to communicate an unlock request. The access system then authenticates the unlock request and the proximity of the user device prior to transmitting an unlock command to the structure. Additionally, the wireless device may require the proximity of a user token prior to operation and/or the access system may include an override within the structure blocking any unlock command. Besides providing access to the structure, the system may perform other functions, such as monitoring room occupancy, switching power on and off, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20100021031
Abstract: A method of processing regions of interest (ROI) obtained using computed-aided detection (CAD) along with reference image data to assist in evaluation of disease within an anatomical volume. After obtaining ROIs and reference image data, additional information related to each ROI is automatically computed. Subsets of ROIs are selected for use in visualization. ROIs are then presented to an observer in interactive, linked views, each view presenting optimally certain aspects of the ROIs and mapping ROI inclusion within the subsets to visual parameters.

  • Patent number: 7599542
Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus, and computer instructions for improved detection and display of abnormal regions in mammals such as tumors, lesions, and other abnormalities (collectively referred to as abnormalities). In a preferred embodiment, a system and process is disclosed for classification of image points in the spatial dimensions and subsequent segmentation and classification of regions using morphological descriptors that operate in up to three spatial dimensions. Additionally, mapping of a set of classification images to color and opacity parameters is provided for display purposes. After image data is captured and readied for processing, each spatial point in the image is evaluated against predetermined intensity-time parameters. The resulting intensity-time confidence image is then processed to identify distinct regions within the image, and evaluate morphological characteristics of the identified regions using predetermined morphology templates/parameters.
