  • Patent number: 11135509
Abstract: A method of providing gameplay experiences for users includes communicating with a plurality of game clients via a network, where each of the game clients is running a game application. The method further includes identifying a plurality of users of the game applications on the game clients, assigning each of the users to a team in a game instance, and assigning the users to one of a plurality of squads on the team. The method continues by initiating an activity mode in the game instance, where the activity mode includes assigning a different activity to each of the squads and tracking progress toward completion of each activity by users of the assigned squad. Upon satisfaction of the completion criteria of the activity mode, the method ends the activity mode and initiates an objective mode. The objective mode includes assigning an objective to the team.

  • Publication number: 20110250365
Abstract: Metallic tube, pipe and conduit are made in a continuous process that includes a zinc galvanization stage, a first passivation stage, a second passivation stage and a third passivation stage. A colorant is added to the tube, pipe or conduit during the continuous manufacturing process, and the colorant imparts the appearance of a color, such as red. The continuous movement of the tube, pipe or conduit is not halted during normal operation of the tube, pipe or conduit manufacturing and coloring process.

  • Publication number: 20050284669
Abstract: A compliant interface (14,16) for vehicular seat weight sensors minimizes parasitic stresses affecting sensor output. In one embodiment, an integral compliant interface (14) has an annular flange (14a) attached to a post extending from the sensor body with a first compliant member (14r) disposed between the annular flange and an upper elongated flange (14h) of a mounting bracket (14l) and a second compliant member (14s) disposed between the annular plate and a lower elongated flange (14k) to allow pivotal movement of the sensor limited by a motion stop member (14f) of annular flange (14b) engaging the lower flange. An overload cage (14u) may be placed over the sensor and attached to an additional flange (14l) to contain the sensor in the event of a failure of the mount in a catastrophic high speed crash. According to another preferred embodiment, an interface having upper and lower body members are formed with a sensor post receiving bore (16c) for attachment to the post.

  • Patent number: 4510694
Abstract: Motor vehicle wheel alignment measuring apparatus, which enables measurement of toe-in, lateral offset and out of square conditions with respect to any given set of tires, comprises pairs of frames adapted to be hung by hooks against the side walls of the exposed tires of a set of tires. A combination of spring and elastic members are provided for engaging the frames with tire sidewalls. Methods include measuring the toe-in of a set of tires, the alignment of all the tires, and vehicle bearing wear, all while the tires are supporting the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4433489
Abstract: Motor vehicle wheel alignment measuring apparatus, which enables measurement of toe-in, lateral offset and out of square conditions with respect to any given set of tires, comprises pairs of frames adapted to be hung by hooks against the side walls of the exposed tires of a set of tires. Each frame includes a cross bar and a pair of upward and inward extending, short stub members. Each pair of frames includes clamps to secure the free ends of a pair of tape measures, and slots to secure the ends of a pair of elastic bands, so that the tape measures and the elastic bands may be disposed across the width of a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4353568
Abstract: Programmable motor vehicle steering control apparatus, which enables zero settings of front wheel caster, camber, toe-in and steering axis inclination, comprises left and right pairs of first and second, tangentially loaded helical spring elements and means for connecting the left pair of spring elements between a left front wheel steering arm and tie rod and the right pair of spring elements between a right front wheel steering arm and tie rod. Parallel connecting arms of each second spring element cross so that when either pair of spring elements in push or pull loaded during vehicle turns, the two spring elements in each pair act in opposite, spring coil opening or closing directions. The connecting means includes means for offsetting outboard ends of the spring elements in each pair and preloading means are provided for selectively preloading each of the spring elements.
