Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are described herein that are configured to generate an operator text in response to an alarm that is either received from an alarm or alert system or that is self-generated based on an analysis of one or more data feeds. The method of an example embodiment may include determining whether an operator text is to be generated in response to a received alert condition by performing data analysis operations comprising: analyzing, using a processor, a primary data feed and at least one confirmatory data feed to identify one or more features; and determining based on the detection of a feature in the primary data feed or the at least one confirmatory data feed satisfies at least one predetermined constraint. The method may further include generating an output text that is displayable in a user interface that describes at least a diagnosis for the feature that satisfied that at least one predetermined constraint.

Abstract: A method for computerized industrial process control provides computers networked to communicate with one another. Each computer active in the system is responsbile for at least a portion of the process and at least one decision for a process to be controlled and having an output. All activities are characterized by type, the types of activities forming a universal set including sensing facts, linking facts into a meaningful context, and evaluating meaning to formulate a decision. An entity responsible for an assigned decision conducts a series of activities selected from the three types, which may be applied recursively. Decisions are communicated between computers through the system to control the process. Producing output from the process follows according to a combination of decisions reported from each computer corresponding to a responsible person or other entity.

Abstract: A portable cooler comprising a cooling compartment having a pair of wheels coupled thereto at one end thereof and having a handle positioned on and coupled to one side of the cooling compartment opposite said wheels for pulling the portable cooler. The handle is angularly adjustable about an axle when the cooler is being pulled and is secured to the cooler when not in use. A pair of lifting handles are positioned on opposite sides of the cooler for lifting the cooler to and from a vehicle.

Abstract: The invention provides both a method and apparatus for drying moisture-containing materials, in which the material is dried in a drying chamber. A heat exchanger is provided in the drying chamber, and while air is prevented from entering the chamber, vapor or gas given off by the material is extracted from the chamber, at least some of that vapor or gas is compressed, and the compressed vapor or gas is passed through the heat exchanger, so that at least part of the latent heat of evaporation of the vapor or gas at the increased pressure is used to create the necessary temperature gradient between the heat exchanger and the atmosphere within the drying chamber, to cause the heat emission required for drying the material.

Abstract: An apparatus for drying fabric and other materials comprises a vacuum chamber to contain the fabric, a condenser for condensing vapor generated from the fabric in the vaccum chamber, a heat exchanger in the vacuum chamber through which the condensate is passed and a heater for supplying heat to the condensate on its way from the condenser to the heat exchanger. Preferably the fabric is drawn continuously through the chamber through an inlet and an outlet both provided with vacuum seals.

Abstract: Rapid cooling of a freshly baked moisture-containing farinaceous foodstuff article such as bread, wherein the article at its baked temperature and without deliberate pre-cooling is submitted to a reduced pressure treatment, which is applied at a plurality of rates so that on the one hand the article is not disintegrated, and on the other hand the article does not suffer an unacceptable peripheral moisture loss. The change of rate of application of the reduced pressure may be effected in response to various parameters.Also production of completely baked moisture-containing foodstuff articles by heating to a pre-determined internal temperature, terminating the heating substantially prior to the known, normal, complete baking time for the article and submitting the article to reduced pressure treatment.
