  • Publication number: 20140060577
Abstract: A fluid extracting device with a shaped head and associated systems and methods of use and manufacture. In one embodiment, the device includes an extractor head that includes an extractor port housing having a cavity configured to be coupled to a vacuum source. The extractor port housing includes a recessed surface and individual openings extending through the recessed surface and in fluid communication with an interior suction cavity. The extractor port housing can further include first and second lips each adjacent to opposite sides of the recessed surface and each configured to provide a squeegee function. In another embodiment, the device includes a tubular member and a handle operably coupled to the tubular member and including a suction control device. The suction control device is configured such that a user can simultaneously operate the device to control the suction and operate the extractor to remove fluid from a flooring surface.

  • Publication number: 20130061422
Abstract: Multi-operational mode fluid extractors and associated methods are disclosed herein. An extractor configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes a waste fluid tank positioned to receive extracted waste fluid and an air mover proximate to the waste fluid tank. A first airflow connector couples the air mover to the waste fluid tank for drawing a vacuum in the waste fluid tank. A second airflow connector is operably coupled to the waste fluid tank and positioned to be coupled to a suction source that is spaced apart from the extractor. In particular embodiments, heat from air moving through the air mover can be transferred from the air mover cavity into the waste fluid tank.

  • Publication number: 20130047662
Abstract: Dehumidifiers with improved airflow and fluid management features are disclosed herein. A dehumidifier configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes a housing, a moisture removal component, and an airflow director. The housing at least partially defines an airflow path extending therethrough. The moisture removal component is positioned within the housing along a portion of the airflow path, and the airflow path enters the moisture removal component in a first direction. The airflow director adjacent to the moisture removal component extends in a plane that is generally parallel to the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20070080512
Abstract: A hand cart for a first item having a lift bar, comprising a frame assembly, a wheel assembly, a carriage assembly, and a hook. The wheel assembly is rigidly connected to the frame assembly to facilitate movement of the hand cart along a surface. The carriage assembly is connected to the frame assembly for movement along an engaging axis relative to the frame assembly. The hook extends from the carriage assembly. With the frame assembly adjacent to the first item, the carriage assembly is displaced such that the hook engages the lift bar of the first item. With the hook engaging the lift bar, the frame assembly is tilted such that the wheel assembly supports the first item for transport.

  • Publication number: 20060186225
Abstract: A system for guiding air to at least one desired location on at least one target surface. The system comprises an air mover and an air guide member. The air mover defines an outlet through which air is displaced. The air guide member defines at least one air chamber. The air guide member is arranged adjacent to the outlet such that at least a first portion of the air displaced by the air mover enters the at least one air chamber to inflate the air guide member. The air mover and air guide member are arranged such that the inflated air guide member guides a second portion of the air towards the at least one desired location.
