Publication number: 20240131062Abstract: The spray dried plasma by the nature of its characteristics and the process by which it is made allows for a dried plasma with reduced pathogens. It has at least three aspects of pathogen reduction that results in a plasma product with reduced or no pathogens. The first aspect relates to a spray drying disposable and machine that eliminates or minimizes the introduction of pathogens into the spray drying process and is referred to as the anti-contamination process. The second aspect of pathogen reduction relates to the spray drying process and parameters that reduces pathogens that may be present in the donor plasma, and/or inhibit pathogen growth and/or pathogen proliferation introduced by the donor plasma. The third aspect results in reduced pathogens occurring during storage of the dried plasma wherein the manufacturing and storage conditions are such that pathogens are reduced, and/or pathogen growth and/or pathogen proliferation are inhibited.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicant: Velico Medical, Inc.Inventors: Mark A. Patent number: 11820694Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for heating moving continuous glass ribbons at desired lines of separation and/or for separating glass sheets from continuous glass ribbons are disclosed. An apparatus includes a translatable support portion and a heating apparatus coupled to the support portion. The heating apparatus is configured to contact the continuous glass ribbon across at least a portion of a width of the continuous glass ribbon at the desired line of separation as the support portion moves in a draw direction, thereby preferentially applying heat to a first side of the continuous glass ribbon at the desired line of separation as the continuous glass ribbon moves in the draw direction.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2020Date of Patent: November 21, 2023Assignee: CORNING INCORPORATEDInventors: Dennis William Buckley, Gary Lamont Hively, Michael Albert Joseph, II, Jason Rudolph Koch, Ritesh Satish Lakhkar, Mark Thomas Massaro, Robert Richard Quiel, Richard Alan Quinn

Patent number: 11609778Abstract: A virtual server includes at least one processor to retrieve a user layer from a user's personalization container, and initiate mounting of the user layer to a target operating system. During the mounting, the at least one processor determines that the user layer did not originate with the target operating system. The user layer is modified so that file system objects and registry objects are compatible with the target operating system. Mounting of the modified user layer is completed to create a single composited layered image.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2020Date of Patent: March 21, 2023Assignee: Citrix Systems, Inc.Inventor: William Buckley

Patent number: 11585222Abstract: A cryogenic oil-free direct drive turbogenerator for gas liquefaction plant applications is described. The pressure energy from cryogenic gas is expanded through a turbine and the power generated is converted into electricity through a directly driven generator and a power electronics arrangement. The machinery can withstand very cold temperature operation (e.g., <?425° F.) by isolating the cold turbine side from the warmer side of the machine turbine end and has a hermetically sealed design wherein the process gas is fully contained from leaking at operating pressures. A unique gas injection scheme uses seal gas segregation, thrust bearing cooling and pressure balance for thrust control which is accomplished through a pressure regulator arrangement. Also described is an algorithm for speed control and overspeed protection through the power electronics system. The rotating components of the turbogenerator are supported on foil gas bearings for oil-free operation eliminating extraneous lubrication.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2022Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: R&D Dynamics CorporationInventors: Muthusamy Rajendran, Charles William Buckley, Giridhari L. Publication number: 20210279458Abstract: A new segment of electronic handwriting is provided to a handwriting recognition module to obtain a plurality of textual interpretations of the new segment. The textual interpretations obtained from the handwriting recognition module are scored based on how each respective electronic handwriting representation would change a display of existing electronic content when the respective electronic handwriting representation is displayed substantially at the user designated position within or adjacent to the existing electronic content. Based on the scoring, an electronic handwriting representation corresponding to a respective textual interpretation of the plurality of textual interpretations is selected, and the existing electronic content is modified to include the selected electronic handwriting representation located substantially at the user designated position.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 21, 2021Publication date: September 9, 2021Inventors: Maria Cirimele, Thomas William Buckley, Robert Ky Mickle, Tayeb Al Karim

Patent number: 11044307Abstract: A computing system includes virtualization servers running virtual machine sessions, and client computing devices grouped by respective enterprises. Each client computing device is operated by an end-user to access an application via a virtual desktop during one of the virtual machine sessions. An analytics server is coupled to the virtualization servers, and collects application usage parameters provided for each client computing device accessing the application during one of the virtual machine sessions, and analyzes the application usage parameters to determine application performance of the application across the client computing devices for each respective enterprise. Client computing devices having slower application performances as compared to application performances of other client computing devices are identified by the analytics server.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2019Date of Patent: June 22, 2021Assignee: CITRIX SYSTEMS, INC.Inventor: William Buckley

Patent number: 10479719Abstract: A method of cutting a glass sheet is disclosed. The method comprises heating a heating element to a heat temperature, which in turn heats a glass sheet along a desired cutting line, to a separation temperature. The glass sheet is subjected to non-destructive pressure at an edge on the cutting line. The non-destructive pressure may be applied by a tool with opposed sharp edges so long as the edges do not nick or otherwise score the glass sheet. A diagonal cutter may be utilized as the sharp-edged tool. After an adequate amount of heating time, the glass sheet will achieve the separation temperature and spontaneously separate along the heated cutting line.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2015Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: Corning IncorporatedInventors: Monty Eugene Barnes, Dennis William Buckley, Ritesh Satish Lakhkar
