  • Publication number: 20060041936
Abstract: A graphical representation of the firewall and a network coupled to the firewall is generated and displayed. A number of an inbound port of the network is displayed. An arrow adjacent to the port number pointing toward the network is displayed to indicate that a communication is permitted to the port. The port number and the arrow are located between an icon for the network and an icon for the firewall. A port number of a destination of a communication originating from the network is displayed. Also, another arrow adjacent to the destination port number pointing toward the firewall is displayed to indicate that a communication is permitted to the destination port number. The destination port number and the other arrow are located between an icon for the network and an icon for the firewall. A table including definitions of a plurality of rules is generated and displayed. Each of the definitions includes entries for a source IP address and destination IP address of a permitted but vulnerable data flow.

  • Patent number: 6286805
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing shocks and vibrations that equipment can be subject to when the equipment is moved is provided. The apparatus includes a stationary support assembly fixedly held in a transport unit that is moved using a vehicle and a movable support assembly fixedly connected to the equipment. The stationary support assembly includes a number of isolator members that prevent unwanted shocks and vibrations from affecting the equipment being transported. A pallet truck is used to separate the equipment and the movable support assembly from the stationary assembly and then carry them to their next location. The movable support assembly includes a number of inflatable air bladders that are sufficiently pressurized to prevent unwanted shocks and vibrations from affecting the equipment as it is moved from the transport unit to its next location. The equipment being moved can include laser equipment for use in performing eye corrective procedures and which has sensitive, aligned and calibrated components.

  • Patent number: 3980835
Abstract: In a pulse code modulation communication system in which in each station the local oscillator frequency is controlled by the difference between the aligner fills at the ends of each link coupled to the particular station, a balanced modifier can be applied periodically to the aligner fills at the ends of a link to make the fills symmetrically disposed about a mid range value and/or a straight modifier can be applied periodically to an aligner fill in the particular station to make the aligner fill equal to the mid range value, the modifiers preventing the establishment of falsely synchronized modes among the oscillators of the system.
