The method includes generating a data block for transmission between a cellular chip and an Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) chip. The method includes converting the data block into messages, the messages having a format corresponding to the WCI pathway, the WCI pathway directly communicatively connecting the cellular chip and the ISM chip, the format including an indication of a message type. The method includes transmitting the messages over the WCI pathway. The method includes generating the data block based upon a concatenation of the messages.

  • Publication number: 20140073258
Abstract: Adaptive cancellation of out-of-band interference between coexisting wireless communication devices. A signal including out-of-band noise may be received by a victim communication device and by an adaptive cancellation device. The adaptive cancellation device may use an adaptive filter to isolate a representation of the out-of-band noise. The adaptive cancellation device may then subtract the noise from the receive path of the victim communication device. The victim device and the adaptive cancellation device need not be located on the same chip as an aggressor device generating the out-of-band noise.

  • Patent number: 8331309
Abstract: A configuration for downlink signals in a wireless communication system, methods of configuring the downlink signals, apparatus for generating the downlink signals, and apparatus for receiving and processing the downlink signals are described herein. Downlink signals in a wireless communication system are reconfigured in series of frames, with each frame carrying a preamble that provides fast cell search and system acquisition. In particular, the preamble includes a primary preamble and a secondary preamble, where the primary preamble is common to all sectors in a base station and all base stations in a system and the secondary preamble is effectively unique to each base station, and may be further distinguished based on a sector basis.

  • Patent number: 6959053
Abstract: A method of searching for a predefined code in a bit stream, the method comprising initiating a first search for correlation of the bit stream with a reference code applied to the bit stream at a first plurality of different times according to a first resolution to produce a first set of correlation values and associated times. Then a second search is initiated for correlation of the bit stream with the reference code applied to the bit stream at a second plurality of different times to produce a second set of correlation values and associated times, the reference code being offset in time from a maximal correlation value of the first set such that the reference code is applied to the bit stream at times other than times of the first plurality. Then, out of the first and the second sets a maximal correlation value is selected for use in calculating a strength of the predefined code in the bit stream.
