  • Patent number: 10543179
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dosage regimen of an S1P receptor modulator or agonist in the course of the treatment of patients suffering from an inflammatory or autoimmune disorder, for example multiple sclerosis. Specifically, the present invention relates to testing a patient for a history of infection and vaccinating the patient prior to administration of fingolimod or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof at a daily dosage of 0.5 mg.

  • Patent number: 4649912
Abstract: The specification discloses a supplied air respirator system for delivering air to a painter who is using a compressed air line leading to a hand-held paint spray unit. A supply tap is located in the compressed air line for removing a supply of compressed air for delivery to the painter. The tap is located in the compressed air line proximate to the hand-held paint spray unit and is configured to be oriented generally vertically above the air line so that the tendency of particles to be drawn into the tap is reduced. A valve connected to the tap is configured to be controlled by the painter for selectively removing a supply of air from the compressed air line. A delivery tube delivers air to the painter from the valve and a filter located in the delivery tube removes particulates out of the air taken from the air line. The delivery tube is connected to a mask worn by the painter for receiving and containing the air.

  • Patent number: 4569033
Abstract: An optical matrix multiplier using two linear modulating arrays in which the columns of the first matrix to be multiplied control the modulation of one array and the rows of the second matrix control the other array. Light is directed through all combinations of elements on the two arrays and the resultant beams measured by individual elements on a two-dimensional detector array. The detecting elements time integrates the intensity of light falling on each of them, which value corresponds to an element of the product of the two matrices. The invention may be implemented among other ways with two linear electrooptical arrays, a linear array of light emitting diodes and a linear electrooptical array, or two Bragg cells and a pulsed light source.

  • Patent number: 4375429
Abstract: The improvement of the electrolytic and additive methods of coloring alkali fluoride crystals comprising the step of selecting an alkali fluoride crystal having the impurities of between 0 and 5 ppmA of OH; between 0 and 50 ppmA of one or more alkaline earth cations, of which between 0 and 10 ppmA Mg.sup.++ and between 0 and 10 ppmA Ca.sup.++ ; between 0 and 50 ppmA of non-fluorine halide anions; between 0 and 10 ppmA of SiF.sub.6.sup.= ; between 0 and 30 ppmA of other ions; and the method of preparing these crystals which comprises converting the alkali fluoride to alkali hydrofluoride, crystallizing and vacuum drying the alkali hydrofluoride crystals, regenerating the alkali fluoride by expelling hydrogen fluoride, and crystallizing the alkali fluoride.

  • Patent number: 4034686
Abstract: As the applicator is propelled about the surface to be treated, hollow spikes called tines or tongs are alternately thrust, vertically downwards below the surface and withdrawn vertically upwards. A bulk supply of treating liquid is maintained separate from the applicator, so the applicator is more maneuverable and less bulky. The supply is pressurized and supplied to the applicator via a high pressure hose line. The drive for reciprocating the tongs also powers a flow-dividing valve, which supplies the treating liquid to each of the tongs in turn, so that each tong liquid injects only when that tong is under the ground surface.
