  • Publication number: 20240072287
Abstract: Molten carbonate fuel cell structures are provided that include a structural mesh support layer at the interface between the surface of the cathode and the cathode current collector. The structural mesh layer can have a mesh open area of 25% to 45%. In addition to providing structural support, the structural mesh layer can reduce or minimize ohmic resistance at the interface between the cathode and the cathode current collector.

  • Publication number: 20230310752
Abstract: Various exemplary drug syringes with a mechanical stop for a second dose, drug products utilizing the same, and methods of using drug syringes with a mechanical stop for a second dose are provided. In general, a nasal drug delivery device is configured to dispense therefrom first and second doses of a drug therefrom into a nose. The drug delivery device includes a mechanical stop configured to provide a pause between the delivery of the first and second doses. During the pause, a user of the drug delivery device can move the drug delivery device from one nostril, into which the first dose was sprayed, to another nostril, into which the second dose can be sprayed. The mechanical stop is configured to hold the drug delivery device in a static delivery state.

  • Patent number: 4664071
Abstract: An adapter for converting a condenser into a thermal siphon radiator includes a housing that has an outlet port connected to the fill inlet of the condenser, a side inlet port connected to a conduit and a fill inlet that is sealingly engaged to a radiator cap. The radiator cap has a valve element that seats against a sealing surface in the adapter. The surface is interposed between the inlet and the two ports. In addition, an overflow and return port is positioned above the sealing surface and is connected to a reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4563987
Abstract: An automatic engine control circuit and clutch actuating mechanism includes a primary timer which defines an off time and on time and a starting circuit that includes a second timer mechanism that determines the number of times the engine is cranked the duration in each starting crank. The engine control circuit also has a warm up timer that provides for an engine warm up period before a clutch actuating circuit is actuated to engage a clutch. The clutch actuating mechanism has a shaft with adjustable spring clips that flip limit switches in the clutch actuating circuit. A supplemental timer is operatively connected to the primary timer to allow for warm up periods without engagement of the clutch when the primary timer is in its off mode. Other safety sensors are operatively connected within the circuit to disable the engine if any unsatisfactory conditions are sensed by the circuit.

  • Patent number: 4344390
Abstract: A piston-cylinder assembly of an internal combustion engine is provided which includes a cylinder liner mounted within a bore formed in an engine block, and a cylindrical spacer extending axially and endwise from the liner and coacting therewith to form a cylinder in which a piston is mounted for reciprocatory movement. An end piece overlies an end of the spacer and is supported by the latter. The end piece substantially closes off one end of the cylinder and the piston is in close proximity thereto when at one stroke limit. When the piston is at the one stroke limit, it coacts with the end piece and the spacer to define a combustion chamber. The end piece is secured in assembled relation with the spacer by a first means. A second means is provided for effecting substantial thermal insulating of the block, liner and first means from the heat of combustion which is generated in the combustion chamber during operation of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4328772
Abstract: A combustion chamber for an internal combustion engine is provided having a cylindrical member, an end piece overlying one end of the member, and a piston mounted for reciprocatory movement within the member and when at a predetermined relative position, coacting with the end piece and member to form a combustion cavity. A compliant gas seal is positioned between the end piece and member and is in surface contact therewith. The seal encompasses the combustion cavity and has a portion thereof continuously exposed to the cavity.
