  • Publication number: 20030159828
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to an apparatus and method for improving production from a wellbore. In one aspect, a downhole pump for use in a wellbore is provided. The downhole pump includes two or more chambers for the accumulation of formation fluids and a valve assembly for filling and venting gas to and from the two or more chambers. The downhole pump further includes a fluid passageway for connecting the two or more chambers to a production tube. In another aspect, a downhole pump including a chamber for the accumulation of formation fluids is provided. In another aspect, a method for improving production in a wellbore is provided. In yet another aspect, a method for improving production in a steam assisted gravity drainage operation is provided. Additionally, a pump system for use in a wellbore is provided.

  • Patent number: 4816314
Abstract: An improved release medium is disclosed for use in the production of decorative laminates by pressure consolidation. The release medium comprises a self-sustaining release sheet having at least one of its surfaces coated with a composition comprised of mineral particles dispersed in a resinous matrix. The release medium may be used to apply an abrasion-resistant coating to the surface of a decorative laminate during production of the laminate by pressure consolidation.

  • Patent number: 4689102
Abstract: An improved release medium is disclosed for use in the production of decorative laminates by both low or high pressure consolidation.

  • Patent number: 4607999
Abstract: A de-watering pump is designed for eliminating liquids in small diameter holes. An expandable air sack is designed such that the outer walls of the air sack can expand to interface with the inner walls of the hole which is to be de-watered. Pressurized air is forced into the hole. The pressurized sack prevents the escape of air up through the hole and directs the pressurized air and water from the hole out through the escape line.

  • Patent number: 4421286
Abstract: A mooring system for controlling an aerostat. The mooring system can be easily aligned with the prevailing wind direction while the aerostat is flying or when moored. The mooring system can either be a fixed, permanent ground installation or a mobile installation. All winches required to control the aerostat during flight and to secure the aerostat to the mooring system are powered from the same source. A nose receptacle is included as part of the mooring system to allow the aerostat to carry a heavier payload. The mooring system includes a main winch system to control flight of the aerostat and close haul and nose line winches to aid in securing the aerostat.

  • Patent number: 4234167
Abstract: An improved winch system to automatically inhaul or retrieve flexible line during a slack line condition. The winch system utilizes a traction unit to control the pay out and retrieve the flexible line when the flexible line is subject to normal loading. When the load on the flexible line drops below a preselected value, a spooling unit can retrieve the flexible line through the traction unit at an accelerated rate to prevent fouling of the flexible line.

  • Patent number: RE30233
Abstract: A decorated multiple layer paper suitable for use as a top surface in resin impregnated abrasion resistance decorated laminates, and the laminates prepared therefrom, said multiple layer having a base layer and a top layer, the top layer comprising abrasion resisting mineral particles having a hardness of 7 or more on the Moh scale and a particle size ranging from 10 to 75 microns, and with a printed pattern over the exposed surface of the top layer. The multiple layer paper is made by depositing a base layer on a paper machine forming wire, and while the base layer is in a wet state and still supported on the forming wire, depositing the top layer thereover. Abrasion resistant decorative laminates are prepared from said decorated multiple layer paper by saturating said paper with a resin, suitably a thermosetting resin followed by uniting with a core and curing of said resin.
