Publication number: 20190325371Abstract: A central server containing a database receives snowfall data from weather stations that are contained at a multitude of different sites within a defined geographical area. The central server stores the snowfall data in the database, correlating the data with various user accounts. For instance, the data is correlated with the account of the owner of the site from which the data was received, and with the accounts of landscape contractors whom the owner of the site has engaged to clear snow from his site. The central server provides alerts to various user accounts based on the snowfall data. For instance, the server provides alerts to site owners based on the snowfall at their sites, and to landscape contractors based on the snowfall at sites they are engaged to clear snow from.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 3, 2019Publication date: October 24, 2019Inventors: Venkataramu L. Bangalore, JR., William C. Savelle, JR., Lex M. Mason, SR.

Publication number: 20180039243Abstract: An irrigation system is contained at a particular site, where the site may be a commercial address or a residential address. The system includes a weather station that generates temperature data, precipitation data, and any other useful data that might be used by other components of the system. The system also includes an irrigation controller that uses electrical signals to open and close valves, thereby turning sprinklers on and off, whether zone-by-zone or sprinkler-by-sprinkler. The system further includes a host device which communicates with the weather station and with the irrigation controller. The host device includes a computer processor and one or more wireless interfaces. The host device receives the weather data from the weather station and calculates an amount of desired irrigation, generating an irrigation schedule. The host device then controls the irrigation controller according to the generated irrigation schedule.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2017Publication date: February 8, 2018Inventors: Venkataramu L. Patent number: 8396603Abstract: The present invention is directed to an irrigation controller, method and software program product for generating wire tracker signal transmission across a control wire. The irrigation controller includes a valve actuation control module selectively coupled to each of a plurality of control wires and generating a valve actuation control signal thereon. The valve actuation control signal is a continuous control voltage over a plurality of control signal periods for selectively energizing the selected irrigation valve. Also integrated in the irrigation controller is a wire tracker transmitter module for selectively coupling to each of a plurality of control wires and generating a transmission signal that can be received at a mobile receiver.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2009Date of Patent: March 12, 2013Assignee: Telsco Industries, Inc.Inventor: William C. Savelle, Jr.

Publication number: 20110190947Abstract: The present invention is directed to an intelligent water management irrigation system for monitoring the total water usage for a billing site and preventing cumulative water usage from exceeding a water budget by adjusting the amount of water used for irrigation. Irrigation zone priority values are selected for each irrigation zone that specify a percentage of the full water need that the foliage in the zone can survive and are saved in an intelligent water management irrigation (IWMI) controller. The IWMI controller receives water usage information originating from a property's water meter and compares the measured water usage with the allowable water budget. Water usage is tracked separately for the household use and landscape use (irrigation). Prior to each irrigation cycle, the IWMI controller estimates the amount of water that will be needed by the landscape and for household use during the remainder of a billing cycle; household use is given precedence over landscape use.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2011Publication date: August 4, 2011Inventors: William C. Savelle, JR., William F. Cain, Venkataramu L. Bangalore

Publication number: 20110087379Abstract: An efficient solar powered irrigation controller system is disclosed with methods for implementing and operating the system. In a solar powered irrigation system, an irrigation controller is configured to deliver a predetermined alternating current voltage to a plurality of solenoid valves for activating the valves. A photovoltaic system is electrically coupled to the irrigation controller and supplies the predetermined alternating current voltage, rather than 110 VAC line voltage, thereby eliminating the necessity for step-down transformer in the controller. The scheduling of the watering duration in the irrigation cycles is predicated on the amount of solar radiation received at the site, in conjunction with the solar cells in the photovoltaic system, thereby lowering the power consumption of the controller and the plurality of solenoid valves corresponding with solar radiation received at the solar cells.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2009Publication date: April 14, 2011Inventors: William C. Savelle, JR., Michael Dean René

Patent number: 7717475Abstract: An elbow barbed fitting for use with flexible pipe and the like is provided with a barbed fitting drive cap for cooperating with a compatible drive tool, such as a socket or nut driver. The barbed fitting drive cap is configured as a hexagonal cap, square cap, star cap or other common driver shapes. The barbed fitting drive cap is positioned on the fitting body opposite the opening to the barbed end, but coaxially aligned with the barb. The cross-sectional body width of the barbed fitting drive cap is narrower than a corresponding width of the fitting body for exerting a drive force on the fitting body. Alternatively, the elbow barbed fitting is provided with a drive recess configured as a hexagonal recess, slotted recess, cross point recess, square recess, star recess or other common driver shapes for cooperating with a compatible driver. Common elbow fitting types include 90° or 45° ells.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2008Date of Patent: May 18, 2010Assignee: Telsco, Industries, Inc.Inventors: William C.
