  • Patent number: 4975206
Abstract: A cooking oil filtering method comprises the steps of connecting the drain outlets of a series of cooking vats to a pre-filter via inlet valves controlling the connection of each vat to the pre-filter, connecting the outlet of the pre-filter to a second filter assembly, connecting the outlet of the second filter assembly to the inlets of the cooking vats via return valves controlling the return of oil to each vat, and controlling operation of a pump and opening of the inlet and return valves to successively pump oil from each vat in turn through the pre-filter and filter assembly before returning it to the vat.

  • Patent number: 4826590
Abstract: A cooking oil filter system comprises a pre-filter for removing relatively large particles from cooking oil and a second filter assembly connected to the pre-filter outlet for removing smaller size particles. A first, inlet manifold connects the drain outlets of a series of cooking vats to the pre-filter inlet, while a second, outlet or return manifold connects the outlet of the second filter assembly to an inlet on each of the cooking vats. Valves are provided in the inlet manifold path between each vat outlet and the pre-filter, and in the outlet manifold path between the second filter assembly and each of the vat inlets. A suitable control assembly controls opening and closing of the valves to control connection of each cooking vat into the oil re-circulating and filtering system.

  • Patent number: 4824567
Abstract: An oil filter for connection in the fuel line between a fuel tank and an engine comprises an outer housing with an inlet for connection to the fuel tank and an outlet for connection in the supply line to the engine, an inner filter housing mounted in the outer housing with an open upper end for oil flow into the filter housing and an outlet at its lower end connected to the housing outlet, the filter housing containing a removable filter cartridge for filtering particles from the oil. A water collecting device is connected to the lower end of the outer housing. The filter cartridge is preferably a spirally wound roll of paper which substantially fills the inner housing.
