    Abstract: Hybrid rocket motors having fuel grains containing glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) produce high regression rates and can be stopped and restarted. The fuel grains also contain carbon and optionally either hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) or polyethylene glycol (PEG). TGAP self-deflagration in the hybrid rocket motors is controlled by at least one of motor design and the amount of carbon in the fuel grain.
