  • Patent number: 5152413
Abstract: A device for forming a closure, including first and second dies for cooperatively forming the closure. The dies come into mutual contact against both sides of an annular disc. The dies form a center hole and cooperatively operate to form a shoulder and skirt on the outer part of the closure. The annular center section and bridges are formed by action of a plurality of die stems which form a recessed dependent lip on the shoulder and which form frangible bridges connecting the lip to the central section.

  • Patent number: 4252585
Abstract: Plastic containers include a shell an open end of which is sealably closed by a closure member having a peripheral hinge portion secured to the shell and an inner expanse which may be bowed axially of the shell. The closure member is unfolding or deformable in drop testing such that sealable closure of the shell is maintained.

  • Patent number: 4224784
Abstract: This invention is a device for attachment with a line trimmer to convert it to an edge trimmer. The device has a collar with support legs attached to it and wheels attached to the support legs. A U-shaped brace is attached between the support legs holding them at an angle to each other. The collar is placed loosely around the handle of an existing line trimmer, the line trimmer is inverted in order to make its face perpendicular to the ground, the legs are inserted into the collar and the collar is then secured to the handle with the head of the line trimmer between the ends of the U-shaped brace.

  • Patent number: 4187577
Abstract: The device includes a blower impeller, a blower housing conformed to fit snugly over the bottom of a standard line trimmer, and stretch traps for maintaining the housing in position on the line trimmer. The device enables one to convert a line trimmer to a blower arrangement by the removal of the spool and head of the line trimmer and the attachment of the impeller, housing and straps in their place.

  • Patent number: 4126034
Abstract: Containers having top head openings are inserted axially without prealignment into a test chamber which houses a sealing member having a sealing surface radially continuous about the container insertion axis. The container interior and the extent of the test chamber encircling the container are commonly pressurized and the sealing device is displaced to seal the container openings. The encircling test chamber extent is then vented to atmospheric pressure and pressure change in the test chamber is monitored.

  • Patent number: 4106263
Abstract: Container pressure testing apparatus includes a housing having an open portion for sealably engaging the container surface circumscribing a pour opening of the container. Pressurized air is issued from the housing through the pour opening into the container and, on preselected container pressurization, a closure member for the pour opening is displaced within the housing in the direction of the pour opening. On the occurrence of predetermined pressure-induced force on the enclosure member, the closure member is rotated into securement with the pour opening.
