For example, a method may include receiving, via one or more processors for a depositary entity and from a custodian, confirmation of deposit of a share of a Section 17 corporation into an account maintained by the custodian, receiving, via the computer processor and from a user, a request to obtain a depositary receipt associated with the share of the Section 17 corporation, generating, via the computer processor and responsive to the request to obtain a depositary receipt, a depositary receipt, storing, via the computer processor, the depositary receipt in a database maintained by the depositary entity, providing, via the computer processor and to the user, an indication of the generated depositary receipt.
