  • Publication number: 20230173354
Abstract: This application discloses a novel protective case for Golf Documents. Golfers typically use protective cases for yardage books or green guides and consult these documents frequently during a round of golf. The claimed invention uses a means for securing one of the covers to the Golf Documents and locks it into place within a sleeve built into the case. This allows the other cover for the Golf Documents to rest unsecured within a separate sleeve. When a golfer consults their Golf Documents, one cover is secured in place and the other moves freely within a protective sleeve. This allows the golfer to repeatedly open and close the book without damaging the Golf Documents.

  • Patent number: 11551486
Abstract: A data logging device tracks the operation of a vehicle or driver actions. The device includes a storage device, which may be removable or portable, having a first memory portion that may be read from and may be written to in a vehicle and a second memory portion that may be read from and may be written to in the vehicle. The second memory portion may retain data attributes associated with the data stored in the first removable storage device. A processor reads data from an automotive bus that transfers data from vehicle sensors to other automotive components. The processor writes data to the first memory portion and the second memory portion that reflect a level of risk or safety. A communication device links the storage device to a network of computers. The communication device may be accessible through software that allows a user to access files related to a level of risk or safety and other software that may be related to those files.

  • Publication number: 20210396743
Abstract: A radical departure from the classical E1-E2-E3 three-enzyme mediated ubiquitination of eukaryotes, the bacterial enzymes of the SidE family of Legionella pneumophila effectors utilize NAD+ to ligate ubiquitin onto target substrate proteins achieved via a two-step mechanism involving (1) ADP-ribosylation of ubiquitin followed by (2) phosphotransfer to a target serine residue. Using fluorescent NAD+ analogues as well as synthetic substrate mimics, a continuous assay system enabling real-time monitoring of both steps of this mechanism is disclosed herein. These assays are amenable to biochemical studies and high-throughput screening of inhibitors of these effectors, and enable the discovery and characterization of putative enzymes similar to the SidE family in other organisms.
