  • Publication number: 20030133430
Abstract: A synchronization channel detection method for cellular transmission is disclosed. Said method is based on an algorithm that adds coherent components and deriving an average of the components in a synchronization signal that is repetitively transmitted over a short period of time. This method achieves a detection gain as compared to correlation algorithms.

  • Patent number: 5553063
Abstract: A system for full duplex real time two-way voice and data communication between a pair of computer terminal locations is disclosed. Analog voice signals are converted to digital form at one terminal location and those digital signals are interleaved with other digital information for transmission to the other terminal location. A value for the number of bytes in a data packet is first established, and then values for the number of bytes and the location dedicated to the transmission of voice information, control information, and data transmission within such fixed size data packets is established. Thereafter, a sequence of data packets with synchronization bytes in the voice byte locations is transmitted from each computer terminal location and received by the other of the terminal locations. Upon receipt thereof, an acknowledgement of the receipt is transmitted back to the originating location to indicate the establishment of synchronization between the two locations.

  • Patent number: 4616177
Abstract: A meter junction box for enabling the safe, accurate and efficient measuring of components of multi-phase electric power includes two separate spaced enclosure housings. The two housings are interconnected by a plurality of electrically conductive, non-magnetic conduits which are environmentally sealed at each end thereof in a manner to secure the interior of each housing from the adverse effects of the environment. A single, insulating jacketed electrical conductor passes through each of the respective conduits from one of the housings to the other. The individual conduits provide a means whereby a hook-on type ammeter may be functionally and individually connected with the conduits to measure the current in the conductor passing therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4370098
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and system for monitoring and controlling the normally inaccessible dynamic operating conditions, such as well fluid head and motor terminal voltage, of a well pumping operation, in response to monitored conditions at the top of the well. At the heart of the system is a computer having, stored therein, coded data representative of the fixed well, motor, and pump characteristics and programs defining the mathematical relationship between the stored fixed data, dynamic operating conditions of interest, and the monitored conditions. Feedback control for regulating the well fluid head and motor terminal voltage include the computer and uniquely designed frequency converter and line drop compensator apparatus.
