  • Patent number: 4750522
Abstract: In a vehicle fuel tank, a fuel handling apparatus including a fuel pump supported by a fuel delivery conduit, a fuel return conduit and an elongated fuel collector. The collector is pivoted with respect to the pump and the fuel return conduit between a compact installation position to an expanded installed position. In addition to the return flow of fuel into the collector, additional fuel is drawn into the collector by an aspirating action produced by a rapidly flowing stream of return fuel from the end of the fuel return conduit which has a hood thereabout configured to produce the aspirator effect.

  • Patent number: 4750518
Abstract: A fuel delivery apparatus including an elongated liquid fuel collector or reservoir with generally flexible walls and with a stiffening member extending adjacent a side wall and attached to the collector for longitudinal strengthening of the collector without interfering with the collector's desirable capacity to flexibly conform to the associated fuel tank bottom wall.

  • Patent number: 4750513
Abstract: A vehicle fuel handling apparatus in a fuel tank including a fuel pump supported by a fuel delivery conduit, a fuel return conduit and an elongated fuel collector. The collector is pivotally supported by the pump and the fuel return conduit for movement from an installation position in which the collector is closely spaced with respect to the conduits for the purpose of easy insertion through a small opening in the fuel tank to an installed position in which the collector is moved away from the conduits and into overlying contact with respect to the bottom of the fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 4728920
Abstract: A fluid pressure transducer having a hollow enclosure with an elongated tubular guide supported therein around which a tubular piston moves in response to fluid pressure forces acting on one piston end. A spirally-wound wire resistance coil on the guide is contacted by one end of a conductor carried by the movable piston to effectively charge resistance through the conductor and parts of the coil. The conductor is connected to one end of a metal spring which opposes piston movement due to pressure forces. An opposite end of the metal spring is connected to a terminal to transmit the resistance changes.

  • Patent number: 4706707
Abstract: A combination fuel delivery, pick-up and fuel level sensor of the type including conduits at least one of which is formed in a helix configuration so as to locate and bias the inlet closely adjacent the fuel tank bottom irrespective of differences in the depth dimension of associated fuel tanks.

  • Patent number: 4185833
Abstract: A game method and apparatus is disclosed wherein an ordered matrix is formed and a representation, such as a letter, word, phrase, symbol or picture, is arranged in a representation matrix corresponding to the ordered matrix. The representation is divided into representation matrix sections each corresponding to a part of the ordered matrix and these sections are arranged in a coded order. The section can be a line, a connecting member, or a member bearing a two dimension reproduction of a portion of the representation. The coded order is followed on parts of the ordered matrix to recreate the representation until the representation is recognized. Game apparatus includes a matrix sheet or board and a coded representation card having a plurality of character combinations, each combination designating part of the coded matrix on the sheet or board and corresponding to a section of the representation to be produced thereon.
